Visa requirement for US citizens to travel to India
Hi friends I am a US citizen of Nepali origin. I was planning to visit Nepal this winter and got an idea of traveling to India as well. I will obviously have to pay for visa in Nepal but my question is if I take a flight from Nepal to India through some travel agency there will I have to pay for visa again in India?
Thank you for any help
You will need an indian visa if your going to be traveling to india with your american passport even if you have a nepalese visa on it.
Since nepali traveling to india doesnt require a visa, i would suggest that you go to India with your 'nagarikta' (i'm assuming that you still have it with you)

Use your Nepali passport to travel to India. Unlike using your Nepali nagarikta, it will be hassle-free.
It is illegal to use ur nepali passport once you have become an American. Chance of getting caught doing it is very low but not worth the risk in my opinion.
You can get 10 years multiple entry visa to India (that you can apply through mail here) for 250 dollars I think.
Unlike Nepal you will not be able to get indian visa at the airport and it will be a hassle to apply for it once you are in Nepal.
Agree with yuvraj. That's a good plan
Moral police patrolling through sajha board. Right on!

so sad you need visa now to go to india. Now you are american. americans don't do illegal stuff only nepalese do. Follow the rules as americans do. You are no more nepali by paper.
