Now it is the f*ing serious case. It clearly shows that she is been funded by the missionaries. I am still saying however people have right to choose what to do and what not to. But being an artist and denying like that giving the reason " no god is not one, only prabhu " jesus" is god" is not an appropriate term in the situation. She is the big time liar. She is full of shit and needs to know how to respect the religion whether its hindu or muslim.

If they hate hinduism why the Fuc...k they use words like 'Prabhu' or 'Parmeshowr'...Chi..k..ni pakhandi haru. The most striking thing while reading comments was so called Janajatis hating on hinduism, their own cuture and religious practices having the most nearness to hinduism. They should understand, if Nepal was not a Hindu state, all their traditions would have been vanished, like in northeast india or latin america or africa.

I smell a strong fume of utter hypocrites in this thread.

First of all, what she did was her prerogative. How many times has a singer rejected a song for stupid reasons? Once they hurt your religious sentiments, it becomes personal? I know you all have issue with her reasons, but what is your reason to force her to sing about your Gods? If she is wrong to reject a song based upon the religious grounds, You are wrong to criticize her on the same grounds.

I am a Hindu and I've learned religious tolerance. I have learned to coexist with Buddhism, Christianism, Islam or Judaism, and I have learned to respect other's religious rights. If I force somebody to sing about my God, I will not be any different to a Jihadist or a Crusader.

Let her sing whatever she wants to sing. Are we running out of Singers?

Also, those who accuse her of taking money to do all this; even if I believe you I might be mad at her but I still won't criticize her for not singing about my Gods or Islam's Gods. It sounds like the song is about all Gods, which is a good thing, but if you believe in the existence of these Gods then you also have to respect the belief of others who might believe that only their God exist. As long as beliefs are constrained to self, I don't see any issues. Issue arises when we force our beliefs onto others.

Here the problem I have seen on her is that , it's ok if she don't want to sing a song but why she is giving unnecessary reason that she don't want to sing a song.

It is said:
Religion is like a penis. It's fine to have one and it's fine to be proud of it, but please don't whip it out in public and start waving it around...

I used to believe Nepal was a tolerant place, those were good old ignorant days of me. This incident has become like the Bollywood actor incident. I won't be surprised if few will take it to the street.
If such small incident is a pain in the butt, what will happen if few Nepali Muslim jihadists make it to the international news. Those days will come soon in the future.
She has the right to deny to sing any song she wants to. Unless you are so unsecured about your existence of your religion or a hard liner, I don't see any issue with it.
What next? She refused to celebrate Dashain?

People are just saying it was stupid of her to come out public against using the Hindu words while being a singer of a country with over 80% Hindus. Instead of just calling her stupid, people are taking it to the next level and creating a business of hatred for other religion.

May be her religion is more important to her than her audiences. Nothing wrong with that. Her fans have every right to refuse her and her songs and there is nothing wrong with that either.

Its her fame and her money she has lost. There is no need of name calling and going extreme.

I usually dont post on sajha but seeing so many people taking sides I wanted to put my 2 cents. Personally, I've lived in US for over 8 years and have never heard of her or any of her songs. I might have heard her song in some of the Nepali parties I attended over the years but hadn't been aware off. So, getting to the point, I think as a person she has every right to sing or not sing any song. Whether it's a hindu bhajan, or praise allah or jesus. But as someone point before me that artist is not limited to any boundaries and I understand where that person is coming from. As a Nepali, I listen to English, latino, Chinese as well as Korean song ( am sure many of you have heard Gangnam Style). Anyways, since she is a celebrity, she should've chose her words more carefully. She should've just said I don't want to sing a song that would've been the end of it as am sure many artist have refused to sing a song or act in a movie.
But to say my religion wont allow is totally wrong. Just because you have freedom of speech doesn't mean you should be allow to speak anything that might cause hatred among other people. For instance several months ago famous TV Chef Paula Deen used N* word and caused major controversies which caused her to lose many sponsors and even lost her TV contract. Same was the case when Duck Dynasty dude spoke hatred about gay. I hope you guys know where I am going it this.

Tl:Dr: Just because you have freedom of speech doesn't mean you can offend other group of people and hope your freedom of speech covers the statement.
