Jesus is not the only human in the human history who has been mistaken as God. Some people took Japanese emperor Hirohito as God. Some people say Krishna is God-incarnate, some people say Sai Baba is God.
You and I should not take anyone as God unless we have solid proof of it.
God should be everlasting. Is Jesus everlasting? No. Than a Jesus is not God.
Is emperor Hirohito everlasting? No. Is Krishna everlasting? No. Krishna died. Is Sai Baba everlasting? No. He died. So none of these human beings qualify to be God.

Sanskrit: "Ekam evadvitiyam"
English: "He is One only without a second.“ (Chandogya Upanishad 6:2:1)

"God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?" (The Bible, Numbers 23:19)

“God: there is no god but Him, the Ever Living, the Ever Watchful. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. All that is in the heavens and in the earth belongs to Him. Who is there that can intercede with Him except by His leave? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, but they do not comprehend any of His knowledge except what He wills. His throne extends over the heavens and the earth; it does not weary Him to preserve them both. He is the Most High, the Tremendous.” (Quran, 2:255)

You said human beings cannot be gods. Then you go on to quote multiple sentences from books which are obviously written by humans.

What is your point?

My point is you and i should not take any human being as GOD; unless we have solid proof for it. Although all those books were written by man, they were inspired by GOD. Some have changed overtime some have not.

Forget human being, why believe god unless we have solid proof for it. And, proof doesn't mean citing some fictitious book as you quoted which has some mythical stories to prove everything.
This makes me recall the creationism vs evolution debate where Bill Nye shows scientific proof to corroborate evolution and Ken Ham refutes it by citing Bible.

They are called Avatars....human beings in God's manifestation.Comparing human beings with a creator will be,much the same like, comparing a drop of water with ocean;however,as a infinitesimal part of Himself, all human beings does bear semblance of closeness, with the ever-present,omnipresent.Few landed in earth showing magics and wonders, exercised unselfish divine love which is hardly humanly-believable,and gave a message for all,who wish to listen.Floating in a big rock at a speed of 1000 miles per sec.in already-made orbit,I cannot but witness and sense someOne behind the mirror, working with all these objects in harmony, and for all, who wish to know Him must prove to Him that their love, like His love,is for all.

Ur right humans can only be avatar. I just can't wait for Ganesh avatar to descend in this earth which is the last avatar known as Kalki. Many say he will be here as half man half robot like Robocop. Who knows, but heard one man has already walked half his milestone as an avatar, and he will finish this world as predicted by Nostradamus.

Immigrant, you said you should not take any human being as god unless we have solid proof for it. But you believe blindly that these books were inspired by god written by man.

Dont you want any solid proof that they were really inspired by god and not just a man made story?

It would be the logical thing to do to seek proof like you said but you are contradicting yourself when you believe in these books blindly.

There is no Scientific proof that God exists. But there is something out there & I would not describe it as God as we know but at the same time I do not know what to call it.
Therefore .. MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU ..

You guys should argue with my co-worker who invited me to his Church. What a mfcking dick-head. He better give back his Engineering degree back to where he got it from.
Anyway, what I said to him was having a faith is good, going church is okay; after all this is where you meet like minded people on the Sunday morning and ask forgiveness to all the SINS you committed through out the past week. There is also a good part about going to Church or temple or mosque; many world class classical musicians, artists, community leaders have come out from Church specially.
I believe that, There is a god in you. You always have the power to control the right and wrong that comes out from within you. This indeed makes you a god.

Hinduism has one supreme God, but it has an extensive hierarchy of Gods

Devotion to God and the Gods of Hinduism is known as Bhakti. It is an entire realm of knowledge and practice unto itself, ranging from the childlike wonder of the unknown and the mysterious to the deep reverence which comes with understanding of esoteric interworkings of the three worlds. Hinduism views existence as composed of three worlds. The First World is the physical universe; the Second World is the subtle astral or mental plane of existence in which the devas, angels and spirits live; and the Third World is the spiritual universe of the Mahadevas, "great shining beings," our Hindu Gods. Hinduism is the harmonious working together of these three worlds.

Hope it helps ...

not unlike some wannabe 'last prophet' who created cults of fear and reprisal.thats actually the most idolatrous thing one can do:find every possible excuses for the horrendous acts this person has done to make him an idol and worship albiet flowers and vermin.isnt it?
