To Help the Victims of Sindhupalchowk Landslide
We, Miss Nepal US Board of Directors, Team Members and Event Planet inc., would like to sincerely express our deepest condolences to all the victims and their families of the landslide at the Sunkoshi River in Sindhupalchowk District in Nepal. We are very saddened by the news and our thoughts and prayer are with the lost lives and their families. In the wake up such somber news, we would like to announce that, 10% of all ticket sale of the Grand Finale of Miss Nepal US 2014, schedule to be held on August 23rd, 2014 at Queens Theater, will be donated to victim and their families. Furthermore, all the funds raised here are will be donated directly Red Cross Society and SINDHU-USA WELFARE SOCIETY, INC (http://www.sindhuus.org/). Please donate whatever you can to show your support for the great effort to rectify what nature has bestowed upon the victims and their families. Why don't you guys have a separate fund raiser instead of using the disaster as a excuse to see the tickets?
@maxpayne - We are not using the disaster as an excuse to sell tickets. Right now our Grand Finale is in two and a half week therefore we don't have sufficient time or man power to do a separate fund raising event. The victims and their families require immediate attention and aid. Therefore, we are trying our best to do whatever we can to help those whose lives were ruined by the landslides. For us right now this is the best options we have to aid those in needs.

The move is positive and commendable. But, i can't 100% agree with your plan mister. You have such huge photos of disaster victims in your poster, but only 10% of ticket sales goes to the victims?? your answers will be you have to pay for venue, artists etc. :)) that's ok..
It would be more believable if 50% went to the victims. 10% is even charged for just credit card transaction. Please do 50% and i will come with 10 friends
it won't even take 10 minutes to create a fundraiser account, wtf is this miss Nepal US talking about? don't use them to sell your tickets seriously. Screw all of those related with miss Nepal US, no height no curves, lato desh ma gado tanneri, mula chor haru

First of all we would like to apologize if we offended any one with this post. We are sincerely trying our best to help those victims and their families by whatever means we have. We would like to let you know that we have been talking with Sindhu-USA Walfare Society and Red Cross to distribute the funds directly to the victims and their families. We would also like to thank @divorceguy for the suggestion to open a funding account where we can raise funds to help those in need. Please use the gofundme account below to donate as much as you can. The funds will go directly to Sindhu-USA Welfare Society and Red Cross who are making a huge difference at the ground zero. Currently each victim and their families are only receiving Rs. 40,000. Our goal is to raise as much as we can. So please donate !!!

Be careful when donating money, i did few times and ended up in wrong hands and thank god i was able to find out when i went back home. Lot of them are crooks, Don't want to put your hard on money on some crooks hand so i would suggest to verify before you donate any money!!
Neerakar uprety is a big time crooks who used to be from Virginia and he is well known for that so.you know what i am talking about!!
Any act of kindness would be treated as a great help for those who suffer,as the whole chuck of the hill in Sindhu has fallen atop houses,killing scores,injuring more and still trapping God forfend how many.Good acts must be encouraged and participated.And who is not selfish in present climate?? and who showers with milk everyday??.The magnitude and degree of selfishness may vary but a little selfishness is already hard-wired in all of us,so says Richard Dawkin in his "The selfish gene".
Plz,stop bickering at this time of sorrow and keep those emotions in check if you don't like to donate through this pageant...there are many ways to participate for this good cause if you don't like to watch the programmes and still wanted to help.
