Hi All,

I received mail from IRS today stating that I had not paid tax $xyz amount for year 2012.
I had worked in 3 companies in year 2012. According to letter from IRS, it says I have not paid tax for $xyz amount from one company. On their record it shows that they had two w2 sent to me. One w2 has the amount that I was paid. Another W2 has the amount I am not aware of.( I was paid only according to first w2). So can this be mistake of my employer sending incorrect tax information to IRS or I am victim of fraud. Can compnay use my SSN without my knowledge to cover up their income,

Student999,

1. Get in touch with your employer.
2. Explain this to the IRS.

We have seen many people rushing to file the tax and not counting how many jobs they had and how many W-2s they received.
Remedy: Find out which one was missing: ( call IRS or your ex employer ) Amend your 2012 tax and send the difference, IRS may access nominal penalty and interest fee).
How about the state? You have not heard from State revenue Services?

You can use tax software or manually.
