The Sajha Admin recently asked  writers  why they write on Sajha and offered to raise money for the person who comes up with the best answer.

Here is a sample of the responses:

Ambrosia: uff ... my daddy is so rich I don't need to give  a reason for writing on Sajha ....  Aunty jee and I are now friends on facebook and guess what I found out?.... she was actually staring at me  because she wasnt wearing her glasses when she read my story and thought I hadn't taken a bath or shower since 2003 ! Call me insensitive but I don't write for people with weak eyesight!

Sojoketo: I write because Ambrosia writes and I have to comment on her writing.

Behoove me: I am from the South. Unlike Cape Cod, people just don't write here.  I write because god is dead and I want everyone to know it was me who killed him.  It happened yesterday  He got a massive heart attack after he went through my Sajha posts. I think it was that one about infidelity that did him in. My muwa's bhauju's  sister-in-laws son also writes. He  wears Cartier, drives a Maserati, shops at Armani, golfs in the Scottish highlands, and still manages to drop into Sajha Chat from his 200-foot yacht off the coast of Malta.  Did I mention I live in the South?

Vivant: Very provocative question. Reminds me of what Shakespeare said "To write, or not to write" .  I write because I am sympathetic to Tibetans writing in English (TWEs) and can quote every one of them. Nepal-Tibet relations have historically been good and  Lhasa sahus brought many books from Lhasa to Kathmandu written by Shakespeare. They opened convenience stores in Lhasa where the profit and loss account analysis showed underpaying employees is a choice that hurts everyone in the long run. This is true especially in America where underpaid brown people are stuffed into jute boras and thrown out of the White House windows.

Ujl: The purpose of life is to write. Lord Krishna said, don't write for reward, just write for duty. During Vedic times people wrote for maya and chetna. These days people just write for likes and comments. In Satya Yug, we will all write and not ask ourselves why we are writing nor seek any rewards for our writing.

Kiddo: Long clap at San. That is a valid question. Not trying to be a smart ass, but is it legal to raise money for writers?

San: It is a slander to ask such a question. Remember  people in Nepal are paying for and reading worse shit than what these Sajha writers spew out and the government of Nepal does nothing about it. They should investigate  writers in Nepal to check if they have installed  pirated copies of Microsoft Word on their laptops.

Ne0: According to the Slander and Intellectual Property Act 2012, slander and software piracy are both punishable by a fine of upto Rs 10,000.

Vhotee: The real reason people get arrested for slander and piracy in Nepal is because they are Christians.

Bathroom Coffee: I WRITE BECAUSE OF ALL THE GADHAS WHO  WRITE LIKE DUNG AND EAT MY HEAD, HA HA HA ... HO HO HO

Sexy in Saree: Nepali writers dont know how to write.
