That was once of the major cause of this scandal. People who brag how tolerant we are, this is an example of the reality. No, we are not.

Of all the accusation, I'm very disturbed by the news accusing her of selling those kids to foreigners. How gullible and how easily Nepali people can be manipulated. This process is called "adoption" and it is a normal practice in other part of the world where such deed are applauded and encouraged. It will take boxes of paper before she can even think about sending the kids oversea. Where are those papers? Selling kids overseas involves lots of paper and bureaucracy and bribery in Nepal itself, it's not that easy. The foreign country adoption agency will have a boxes and boxes of documents for a single child. Why can't the nepali news media provide those? They can easily request and get those document through legal means in a case like this. If they can't provide the proof, this is a deliberate defamation of Dil Sobha, for which they should be prosecuted and brought to justice. It should be in writing, not a recorded phone message between two person, who we have no idea. Hey, I can pay anybody to act and make them say anything on the phone, that should not be the sole deciding factor of the truth.

we do nothing on our part and we wish to see all social worker to be like Mother Teresa and if there's some loopholes then we go head on to magnify it upto the limit that we completely forget all the good works that had been done before...v.ironic.

After all's been said and done, does anyone know if there has been a lawsuit filed against the journalist for defamation of character?

I think this is a great opportunity for a lawyer to do a pro-bono case and do the right thing.

Not really. If you do it illegally then it is called traffiking. You and I cannot provide authority for adoption. It has to be through a legal channel. Not knowling the law is not an excuse. Does she has record of all the child that have been taken to overseas. Are all the child well overseas. I don't think so. Because all these have been done for money. Most of the child have parents. It is easy to blame on media.I know they are not saint. But how would you deny so many videos . How would you ignore the state children were kept? How would you deny the statement given by the child? Do you think the children are telling lies.

Seriously I could not understand what vhootee is trying to say.
Are there adoption papers or not? If she does not have papers then basically it is selling right? If she has not registered the adoption process with government then it is selling right?
Does she have all these?

She claims she has not sold any children, and the news says they know she has. Media even know those kids are not being treated well overseas. How did they know that? Unless they saw it, it is just an assumption. It tells us they know who the child is and where he/she is. Why not we get the real story from them? Are they in Chicago, London? This time on a non biased, third party, non religious, non political, international news media (no voice recording) but face to face video recording. Don’t you think the media has the obligation to do that instead of printing what they have dreamt about?

no_quiero...I’m a very passionate person about adoption and very familiar with the process. Unless you just want to argue with no real reasoning and logic, I’ll tell you this………..There is a very THIN LINE between trafficking and adoption (interpretated by Nepali society and Nepali standards but huge difference by western standards). Don’t believe in the hype in a documentary created by some Swedish liberal guy who’s trying to make a name of his NGO. The reality is not even close. So go on, I’ll respond.
