@Iamback, Its funny how you are enjoying in US while you telling others to sit at home and eat sag and sisnu.
@iamback
Send me your 500 bucks donation receipt, i will give your 1000 bucks via paypal so that you can donate some more for needy ppl, thanks !!
Money cant solve this kind of problem. Helping out one family is not enough, becuase there a lot of them dieing everyday which we dont even know of. So unless we wanna raise the money for each of the people that die everyday, we should rather fix the root of the problem. Any ideas on how to do it, the best I could think of was raising this kind of issue and petitions. If anybody have better ideas, please feel free to pitch in.
I feel for what is happening but what I don't understand is why are we pleading to the U.S. Government? U.S. has its own problems and would the U.S. government step outside U.S. and help a group of Nepali immigrant workers located in Dubai?we should start a petition asking for the Nepali Government for help.
@oh_gaathe,
you should've seen this by now, US is like a police in the international community. They can intervene in wrong things happening in any country in the world, something that only the most powerful nation can do.
From Syria to North Korea, Iran to Iraq, if you remember even in Nepal, on the threat of US government, they stopped catching the tibetan refugee and sending them to China.
This is no new news, at least not to me. BBC Nepali Sewa covered this topic about 6 months ago. I guess nobody listened or we like to hear our story from somebody else’s mouth.

I see what you are saying Mr. D. but shouldn't we be more concerned to plead our government to take some type to actions?
Ohh picklehead rather fhan givinv me 1 gran give it to the Biswakarma family, don't even make sense why I have to show u a receipt
Nepal government should take any initial steps towards this issue!
So what happened to this issue? anybody has any updates?
Why the need for another petition when we already have one making the rounds? The old petition was submitted to the Qatar Mission in NYC and to the New York Times' representative as well.
Can you sign this one and share this instead since it has close to 30,000 signatures already (the one posted above has a little above a 100 signatures).

Also, join the movement on FaceBook:

So far, the protests have been conducted in New York, San Francisco and London. The Sydney protest is scheduled for October 26th and the one in Melbourne is on October 27th - The ones in Kathmandu, Minnesota and DC are in the works.
Please support the movement. But if you are in the path of progress, please kindly step back so we can move ahead.
Samsara, you seem to be pretty up to date with these issue. Thanks, but what I did not get is how can raising petition through different agency affect the old one. Wouldn't it be more effective if all the organizations demand the same thing, my views..
