I bought a phone with insurance and my siter used my new phone.
After a week she lost it, now I am trying to file a claim. They are asking for phone number. I suspended her line and tried to file a claim but they couldnt find her number as insured.
Now I tried my number, but since I didnt use the phone, isnt that illegeal? Suggest me please.
bro, when you insure the device, you don't insure the phone number but insure the phone, so get a copy of your insurance coverage; if you have multiple phones insured, find exactly which one is lost and tell them, you lost it. If you have iphone 5 and samsung galaxy insured; and you lost iphone 5, call and tell them you lost iphone 5; you have the galaxy with you.
Furke, youre wrong. The insurance is tied to the phone number not the device. You will have to file claim for the phone number the device was being used on. . Make sure which number t the phone was being used on when you lost it and make the claim. Im talking with experience of working in a phone company store. I used to have customer who had issues like yours. Good luck.
Thanks Kkanni,
Me and my sister's phone are in a family plan. I bought a new galaxy phone and my sister ended up using it and lost it.
Since I have insurance on my number, while filing if I have to present my phone number but I am using another phone.
If I use her number, it not insured. At first, when she used my new phone, I didnt know the phone number is also insured to the new phone as a package.
