If you are proud of being Nepali, Sign this petition...
Now ya'll talk how much you love your country but you failed to support a cause which should be so dear to Nepalese.
Shame on all of you. Out of 1,000,000 there is only 19,000.
Are you all that deluded you forget your dear country.

Happy to be Nepali but not proud. Masane bro many of us Nepalis just want a peaceful life without having to indulge in politics, whether we are in Nepal or abroad. That is why they do not bother to take part is these campaigns.
But rest assured, Nepalis will always love Nepal regardless.
What a great opening paragraph "Now ya'll talk how much you love your country but you failed to support a cause which should be so dear to Nepalese. Shame on all of you. Out of 1,000,000 there is only 19,000. Are you all that deluded that you forget your dear country."
Makes me want to shit on masane's face.
How about just writing "Dear Friends, Please sign this petition".
Why does every petetioner think everyone in the world should know about Nepal, do we know every thing about countries in Europe or South America? Location of Everest or even birthplace of buddha is not common knowledge. Most people even havent heard of Nepal. All official documents point that these are in Nepal. Do we need a change.org petition that vaugely addreses to all officials, dalai lama for some reason and all indian writers?
And why does the OP try to put everyone on a guilt trip with the sensationalist title?
@mancini Well I didn't asked you to sign the petition. Read it again and comprehend..
Well this one is dedicated to you

masane....i think you are the one who is in delusion and thinks that signing one petition here in United States makes the world believe that Buddha was born in Nepal. If you already do not know it has been recorded in UNESCO world heritage site that Buddha was born Nepal and Everest is located in Nepal.
http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/?search=lumbini&searchSites=&search_by_country=®ion=&search_yearinscribed=&themes=&criteria_restrication=&type=&media=&order=country&description=
Why do we as a Nepal have to prove that Buddha was born in Nepal. We are already on the right side of the coin that is truth. Why not let India prove and freak out that Buddha was born in India and then we raise a voice.
Now this thing has taken a troll on everyone so much that we are starting to sound like a criminal who has comitted a crime but wants to make everyone believe that he is innocent.
Having said that i m Nepali and i am not signing this petition because i feel there is no need to...
NO sarcasm intended..no ?
so what happens if all Indians sign the petition saying it all belongs to India ;)
This petition was started by Rabi lamichhane. He hosted the longest TV marathan talk show from Nepal named " World will admire Nepal"
He was live on tv for 60+hours and set a new Guiness World record for longest tv show in nepal. This was his initiative ...
By the wasy are you all telling me you people are greater than Rabi lamichanne... Madan Krishna Shrestha , Hari bansha acharya and Dr bhagwan koirala also signed the petition...
So Ya all bigger than these "hasthi of nepal" ?
Last edited: 27-Apr-13 08:34 PM
we r not bigger then these hastis but definitely more sensible enough to realise already that buddha was born in Nepal..
dude what more do u want ,UN has already registered under world heritage site...what is the petioner trying to prove now when it is already a proven fact....this is some dumb petiiton...may be we sud sign petition for stable government in nepal rather then this goofy petition....

Charliesheen you are right people are always trying to inflate their own egos by pretending to be better than others due to stupid reasons such as race, ethnicity, national pride, etc.
Re: Raving Lamicchane.
People raving about Ravi Lamichhane's 'heroic' record convinced and removed all my doubts about us being some of the biggest idiots known to mankind. He pulled that stunt claiming it'd help the world to recognize Nepal! What a load of baloney! His achievement holds no greater significant than a New Zealander hosting the longest radio show, some Asian guy juggling a soccer ball for over 24 hrs or some dude pulling the airplane with a rope tied around his belly.
We seem to seek pride to console our souls in the most unordhodox ways possibly imaginable. Haribansha and Madan Krishna joining the bandwagon to promote his causes made it worse!
Did the Ukranian duo help Ukraine getting more recognition when they managed to set world record that RL ended up breaking? Did anybody even know about it? Does anybody know who holds the world record in eating most number of pancakes or peeing for the longest time?
For the love of god, stop ridiculous madness of this sort!
I have a great idea for the great mr lamichaney who is going to help the rest of the world recognize nepal. Respected sir, why don't you cut off your pubic hair and then using super glue connect all of the hair and then you could win another world record and thus prove that Buddha was born in Nepal, Mount everest is in Nepal and every country in the world will include those two sentences starting from their pre school curriculum so that everyone in the world is going to show great respect upon hearing the word "nepal". No nepali citizen will then need a visa to visit any country in the world. They can work as much as they want in the US. Nepalis will get higher pay than other people.
Mr. Lamichaney we are all with you.
here we go again, dumbness profound. alls i's gots to says is "you can't fix stupid".
Hats off to funtush and riddle!
I feel good being a Nepali, but NOT proud. Pride comes when a country and its people accomplish something, and the world realizes their achievement without us having to use a bullhorn. We did not create Mt. Everest with our knowledge, skill or labor, it just happened to be there. Neither did we create Buddha, he just happened to be born there.
Is America famous for Grand Canyon, Nagayra Falls and Yellow Stone??
When people can't do things, they resort to excuses. I am sick of Nepalese trying to use all these excuses to express their pride.
If you really want to be proud, donate to educate kids back in Nepal. Teach your children science and mathematics.
Let them come up with ideas, services and products that rest of the world uses.
Then you won't need Mt. Everest or Buddha to be proud of. You won't need any petitions to express your pride.
People will know your abilities, recognize and respect you.
