I was kind of worried about not having the Don world represented by my cast. Thanks god there is a Bahun Don too now. I was kind of feeling left out only hearing news on Janajati Dons.

http://www.onlinekhabar.com/2013/01/35793/

This is the sad state of the country when Dons and gundaas are the celebrated members of our political parties. Sometimes it feels like only a dictatorship can change Nepal for good or for worse.

I was not talking about the political dons i was talking about the scarface, cut throat, tattood street dons.

I agree there were too many bahun politican dons that is why so many Janajati Political Dons came forward.

I don't understand the objective of the originator of this thread. Are you really pround to have a "Bahun Don" or is this just a humorous satire?
No matter what your real objective is, I think that this thread is definitely going to lead to the "Bahun-Janajati war". Oh no, not again, please don't go there now.

What the fug has this world come to ? We have proven criminals running rampant in Nepal. Politicians need them to flex their muscles. What is the Police for ? Why are people paying taxes and bhatta to these criminals ? It should be either or, either we pay bhatta or we pay taxes. And newspapers are promoting this like they are celebrities ? C'mon... NO WONDER NEPAL IS SOOO FUGGED UP !!!

After reading few comments had to ask myself :

Do i suck at sarcasm or do Nepalese understand sarcasm at all?

This is not sarcasm by any standard. This is playing caste card to get undue attention. You are over indulgent in patronizing castodiviphilia abundant in online community.

I think 'bahuns' dislike to call themself 'bahuns'. I have even heard one 'bahun' insulting other 'bahun' by using the word 'bahun'.

who says  bahuns dislike being called bahun?? They online dislike it when an adjective is added infront of a bahun..such as lovi bahun, chor bahun, pakhe bahun, ghusya bahun...ect...but personally being a bahun myself i am never offended or embarrased for being called one. I am not religious and eat beef but i am proud to be called a bahun by caste.

Its rather different than being called Jyapoo..bhote...or a madhise .a Jyapoo is a derogotary word for a Newar....Bhote is a derogotary word for Mongloids and Madhise is a derogotary word for Madhesi ( note the difference between madhesi and madhise)

Most of my best friends are Newars so I can say I know a thing or two about Newars. There are many different castes and sub-castes within the newar community which were mostly based on their profession when the cast system was made. For example: Chitrakaar was used for people who were painters by profession. Similarly, JYAPU represented the FARMERS of the newar community. Hence, JYAPU is one of the many communities inside the Newars. So to call all newars JYAPU only shows that one has so limited knowledge about that community. And personally, I don't think that JYAPU word itself carries any derogatory meaning. What's wrong with being a farmer? It's only an another profession.

True Nepali, more often than not, the primary intent of usage of the term "jyapu" is to ridicule/abuse someone belonging to Newar community. One could say the same about "bhote". Whilst the term in itself isn't derogatory, the implication makes it a word that tends to offend others.

Nepalese in general can relate to this, too. How many of us take an offense when mistaken for a Indian, a middle eastern and in 'worst' cases, a Mehican?

Mucho Wc Mr.Bitterrrr....I am glad you enjoyed it,malai ni  ekdum funny lagyo.Though there are innumerable Dons in Nepal baptized with comical  names, never was a big fan of such career as I always thought there is not much scope and fun in such profession with  ill-favoured hassel most of the time. But ,this Incheon Don is anything but rollicking...."Dai Tapai sanchi kai Don ho ki Tapai ko feelings matra ho?" re.. lololol...Million doller question, eeesmaart boy.
