Guys,

I am about to go to Kathmandu for h1-b stamping. I have a question regarding the validity requirement for my passport. My passport expires in sept22 2015 and my h1-B approval notice has a date till sept 29 2015. Will I be able to use my current passport and apply for visa or do I have to get a new one. Has anyone ever been or heard about this.

Your help will be very much appreciated.

Since you have old hand written passport which will be expiring in 2014. It will be wise to get the new MRP and then get H1B stamped.
Because by 2014 you have to get MRP. no excuse by any means.
