Thank you San dai for providing this platform to help her and thanks to thuldai for the initiation. Personally, I am gald to be of some help to her. I am sure everybody has felt the same.

I do have one request for you. If your time permits, would you be able to follow up with her in next six months or so? that way we will know how she is doing financially. If she is running low on money, we can provide continuous support to her.

Thank you once again.

There was not even a slightest decency to recognize who  the doners were. Sajha.com collected the money re......Don't be shy to pay credit where its due. It was not Sajha.com's collection. It was sajha.com users collection to be precise. Please accept my humble FK You to whoever approved this article.

Nepalese organisations in US provide financial assistance to Ama Ghar

Ama Ghar (mother's house), a shelter run by social worker Dilshova Shrestha has got financial assistance of Rs. 551,350 from Nepalese organisations in USA.

The assistance was collected by social network Sajha dot.com operated in Boston state of the United States of America, (Couldn't this have been written as "The assistance was collected by the USERS of social network Sajha.com" according to RSS.

Network's operator San Pradhan sent the amount to his father (Madan Mohan Pradhan)'s bank account at the Siddhartha Bank. The senior Pradhan visited the Ama Ghar based at Rabhi Bhawan in the capital today and handed over the cheque to Shrestha.

Receiving the cheque, Shrestha expressed happiness over the kind help from Nepalese sisters and brothers living abroad.

Presently, the Ama ghar has been a shelter for 36 elderly women, three elderly men and 49 helpless children.

SAN....Thanks for the explanation. I was little aggrevated as the article seemed to give full credit to Sajha.com(a business entity) rather than the USERS who came up with this idea and worked hard towards meeting the goal. I worked hard towards meeting the goal and i am personally responsible for motivating 13 friends and family  to donate over $700 for the cause. Since, me and many others were emotionally attached with the cause, as a doner i found the Nepal News article disappointing and even little offensive.

Again thanks for the email you sent below.

I appreciate the input you provide in healthy sajha discussions and I wanted to address one of your concerns you recent put forth.

"There was not even a slightest decency to recognize who the doners were. Sajha.com collected the money re......Don't be shy to pay credit where its due. It was not Sajha.com's collection. As I mentioned in the final update today (please read if you haven't), the copy of media material handed out to the media was http://sajha.com/sajha/html/sharearticle.cfm?articleid=873265

You may not be aware that I never put my name in any sajha related news material because these things are never about me. But turns out Nepali media need names to attach their news to and I guess they published their news the way they want to and not how I would have liked it.

You may not be aware that I have been asked to give interviews in many media including TV's but I have never accepted it because as I said before, I don't want to make sajha about me. It's all about you and others and US as a group.

I hope the copy of sajha's media material puts your concerns to rest.

Best Regards
San
