Forest fire is a part of ecosystem. Many trees, grass and shrubs require fire in order to complete their cycle of reproduction.

It is the active forest fire suppression that has caused fuel to build up on forest floor over many decades that results in a lot more massive forest fires than what nature intended.

Plus, when you build homes and businesses in the ecosystem that would naturally catch fire as a part of ecosystem, then you are the problem, not the forest fire.
