@accomodation since they are giving 60 days to transition or go back after termination, now can you still work after June 24? meaning in between 60 days..or do you have to leave the job....lawsuit auto extension news ta before June 24 audaina ni hoina.....last time we had 12 months transition period that allowed us to work, so we cant work this time in between those 60 days until the auto extension notice comes....my last question is do we have to leave the job on June 25th if that make sense

Username619 it is not August 24. DHS has to make decision 60 days before the TPS ends which means they have to decide on or before April 24. The 60 days transition period begins on April 24 and TPS will end on 24th June if there is no lawsuit. Let’s see if lawsuit helps Venezuela TPS. We will get clear idea on what will happen with other countries’ TPS.

@ShaniDev i think thats not true, The 60-day transition period would begin immediately after this official termination date..meaning the official terminate date is June 24, if DHS announces on April 24, 2025, that Nepal's TPS will terminate effective June 24, 2025(official terminate date), the 60-day transition period would start on June 24, 2025, and end on August 24, 2025...

@accomodation right, trump doesnt give a shit about minorites, so doesnt matter if we have criminal record or not, i am just praying for lawsuit extension, thats it.....lets see what happens with Venezuela lawsuit, if they get extension or not, probably that would be the same for Nepal

@Username619 just look at Venezuela's TPS. Their official end date is April and 2 months transition period began on Feb. They are not giving a single extra day for transition. Anyway, Nepal's TPS hasn't been terminated yet, but don't get your hopes up.

thats unusual, usually the transition period should typically follow the termination date of TPS....but i guess its Trump admin doing whatever they want....and i dont have hopes for Nepal TPS, if they are terminating haiti, you think they will show mercy to nepal lol......i was hoping atleast the transition period would be after the termination date, thats how it happens usually....but fkin trump admin

Haiti's TPS was suppsed to end on Feb 3 2026 when Biden admin re-designated last year. Noem actually reduced it by 6 months and it's slated to end on August 3rd. There is no extra transition period. Heck, she even reduced the initial period. There will definitely be a lawsuit here as well. For now, she's only cancelling TPS for the countries that got re-designated. Let's see what she'll do for the old TPS.

@Accomodation, all I'm saying is there is no precedence yet for the old TPS. I'm not saying she'll definitely renew. She might give additional time for Nepal or maybe not. Let's wait and see. It's just 2 months now.

Next one should be H1B visa. Lottery is starting at the beginning of March, so stay tuned for H1B policy change next.

Whatever i mentioned above will happen.tps will b terminated, lawsuits will b filed, then tps will b auto renewed until the court decision comes out n again there will b lawsuit until the decision comes frm supreme court then we will finalley abt to adjust after the denial comes frm there.

@Username619 it will not happen as it is a statute passed by congress. President cannot override it with executive order or his DHS cannot choose not to follow the law. They might not designate new countries for TPS, but they cannot take it away without proper review. It will get blocked in the court. As long as it gets blocked for a while, the whole scenario will change in a year or so.

There was a news yesterday that 11 year old girl committed suicide as she was being bullied in the school for being hispanic and other kids were bullying her saying her parents are getting deported and whatnot. Hispanic will eventually realize that the stronman they voted for is not really good for their interest. There will definitely be a backlash and things will calm down.
