The End of FIFA?

FIFA is a non-profit organization, but it operates like a big business house hell-bent on making profits while doling out peanuts to its member organizations. According to media reports, the most recent World Cup generated revenue of over US$ 15 billion. Well, there would be tons of costs, but don't be surprised if FIFA made at least half of that in profits.

Why does FIFA need billions in profits? Well, the folks running FIFA claim to use the funds to fund football associations around the world, but they also forget to mention that most of the leadership in FIFA gets to use that money to fund their luxurious lifestyles as well.

It has 211 members, all the football associations around the world, and that's where vote-buying happens so that places like Qatar then and Saudi Arabia in 2034 get to host the World Cup!

Did you know that Ganesh Thapa pocketed a few million dollars to vote for Qatar back then, and his son was employed at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) HQ in Malaysia and had a US$ 100,000+ salary while he was there and also a six-figure interest-free loan from some Qatari prince?

Well, FIFA banned Ganesh Thapa for ten years, but he still hasn't been held accountable for 50+ crore of the funds missing from ANFA's accounts. And the leadership after Ganesh Thapa was no better, but the same chamchas who ousted their Godfather and turned into another corrupt monster as well.

Now, FIFA wants to sell 20% of whatever it calls it to private investors. They think they can generate more billions than ever, and it will be good for football. And now, UEFA, the European body of football associations, is fighting back. UEFA has threatened to boycott the 2030 FIFA World Cup, and some say that if things get worse or if FIFA really goes ahead with its new business plan, then UEFA could start its own version of the World Cup in the future.

UEFA knows very well that it has less than 30% of the votes, and FIFA will bribe mostly poor nations to vote for this new business proposal. Our own ANFA is suspended by FIFA because our government decided to not allow the corrupt leadership at ANFA to enjoy their vacation and attend the FIFA World Cup 2026. Well, the hell with FIFA and the corrupt leadership in Switzerland!

If you look across the border, the Ambanis destroyed Indian football with their ISL natak, and there is no ISL now. FIFA is hell-bent on destroying football by only focusing on making billions. And here, our byaparis fund the so-called private Nepali league but don't want to support the development of football at the local level.

It's time to end the FIFA monopoly and its selling out to the rich Gulf nations by allowing them to host World Cups. Nothing wrong if you have the dough, but we all know that Qatar and Saudi Arabia bought the votes! Winter is coming, and if FIFA doesn't back down from its new business plan, then expect the next World Cup to be cancelled and no European nations participating in the most beautiful game on Earth!
