i m sure we all have seen this coming, n believe we all have earned enough to restart in Nepal in these 10 years . lets use the skillset we have learned in this amazing country to prosper our beloved country Nepal. there was a life before tps n there will be amazing life after tps . this i just a process, be kind to yourself , accept n move .

We all saw this coming but 2 months is not a lot of time for ppl like us on tps for a long time to just end our lives here and leave. 401k jhiknu cha, sell car, other saving tyo kasari nepal phataune without looking like trying to launder money. Im lost aaba k garne.

There is a way to move $ equal to the standard deduction around 25k/year into your Roth using a Roth conversion ladder. This will get the money out every year without any tax loss as long as you for taxes showing the conversion. Once setup you ll have to do it for 5 years. You will be able to withdraw from Roth with a penalty but no taxes. If you wait till 57 you can withdraw without a penalty.

Anyone preparing to file for Asylum before TPS termination date ? How is the chance of case being accepted specifically when not meeting the one year deadline but maintaining TPS ? do you think applying asylum will buy you some time, be able to work in US? How does the process of Asylum work and how and when you get to apply for the work permit?

If I were in your shoes, I would leave happily and sell all assets or transfer them to my kids’ names if they were born here (adults/teenagers).
