HTC Sensation 4G battery problem

 Hi friends, I got this HTC Sensation 4G phone a year back. In the beginning I didn't have any problem with the battery but then I had to see days when my phone wont operate if it was not in charging mode. Then it quit even starting. So today I got a new battery but the problem is still there. At first it started but then after 10 minutes its off again. I have put it in charge but only the red light at top right corner blinks. The phone doesnt start.  Anybody know whats wrong with my phone? How can I solve this. I'm so fed up with the battery life of these smart phones and considering going back to my Nokia simple phone. did u upgrade to ics ?

ohh...i didnt do it..so i guess that may be the reason?

not really!! but some people who have upgraded to ics had battery drain problem!! i really don't know what to say!!! try to factory reset!! turn off gps ..widgets..wifi ...background syncs and monitor apps that are running....see if its makes a difference... and use juicedefender app.. it's a simple battery manager app.. sorry but i cant really think of any suggestion without physically looking at it..maybe someone else might be able to help...

 thank you alece..i think you have done your best to help..i would download that app and monitor what sucking my battery..
