Why should? As per the respect for host nation, may be, but for the British monarchy, why? The United States Flag Code (Public Law 77-623; chapter 435) states the following: “The flag should never be dipped to any person or thing, unless it is the ensign responding to a salute from a ship of a foreign nation.” It's their tradition so let it be.
