Friends, I am moving to Canada in 3 weeks. I am planing to export my car to Canada. Canadian border requires letter from my financing company that authorize exporting vehicle to Canada. I have met all the requirements except Canadian Auto Insurance Quote asked by the financing company. The problem is no other Auto Insurance is willing to Insure me because of my accidents record except Geico which doesn't provide Insurance in Canada. (I tried State Farm, All state, Liberty Mutual.) Pls reply if you have gone through similar situation, or have any idea. really in trouble.

Your US insurance should work in Canada up to 60 days. I did the same. The Canadian border does not ask you for insurance (at least they didn't asked me). Make sure you get a stamp on your title (not registration) from the US side before you cross the border. I think you need to make an appointment for that. Also, remember that you cannot bring the financed car in Canada until it is fully paid off. Check the link below. It might be helpful to you. http://www.riv.ca/importingave... http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/roadsa...
