Thanks for the reminder, My intention was to say time taken to travel that much distance. For example after traveling for one light years means "after traveling that much distance.And off course it takes time to travel distance

Behoove me, It hasn't failed to garner attention. Nobody needs to be a rocket scientist to understand what he's talking about. Actually, it is this mundane plot that I dont find as appealing (don't get me wrong, the script is really good) But I am hoping, ,................there's a lot more interesting read to follow. Please continue: For the writers, why don't you first finish the stories you're writing before you post. It is really annoying to read to be continued and not be able to read rest of the story for more than a week, months before it gets lost in oblivion. Even if you're posting in parts, please put together the whole story at the end. Just my thoughts!

Snurp, Maybe you are correct. ------‘s story might not be an absolute page turner (who’s is anyway?), but I like the structure of his story and the details he provided. And I’d personally want to laud his effort because writing, in general, is a difficult task, and writing well is even more difficult. In the wake of posts like ‘my boyfriend and viagra’ and ‘maobadi chor’, I find such posts far refreshing and knowledge inducing. As far as sequels of posts go, I understand your frustration, especially when none of our works are as interesting that keeps readers at their toes waiting for the next part. However (again this is my personal opinion) not many would write to read an epic that are over ten pages long given little patience and time that they have. I personally always write my articles to the fullest, but break it down into certain parts just to make it short read every time readers visited. I have always debated on it, and now that you mentioned, could you kindly provide some insights how YOU as a reader prefer to read a post? 3 parts in installments for a 15 page long article or just one part that never seems to end?

Behooove_me Thanks for reading.Looks like mommentum is slow but that doesnt bother me. In northern hemisphere its cold.may be ppl are not ready for exciting red (wink wink). Yes I am a student of science. My job forces me to learn many fields within science and that includes Astronomy. Snurp I admit that  introduction may not be that blockbuster. In the same time because of high oxygen content animals which have very high probability of evolving into an intelligent life form have comparatively short life span. Disappearance of dinosaur will have no adverse effect on the ecosystem of the planet. Once dinosaurs disappear there will be plenty of smaller carnivores which will be able to keep ecosystem in check and at the same time those smaller carnivorous wont pose a bigger security threat to us. Captain: Suggest an easy way to end the domination of dinosaurs from this planet. Science Officer: Captain, if somehow we are able to decrease the oxygen content of the atmosphere from 24% to 21 % these dinosaurs will die within a six months. They will be not able to take enough oxygen for their metabolism as well as other brain function. Captain: What are the adverse effects on other life forms because of decreased oxygen content? Science Officer: No Captain, in fact because of decrease amount of oxygen content may favor some life forms which have the capability of developing into intelligent life forms. Because of less oxygen these life forms may live longer and eventually may develop into an intelligent life form in this planet. Captain: Is there any possibility of using these life forms for our mining purpose? Science Officer: I think it is feasible Captain. We can improve their physical strength with some hormones without any adverse side effect. Captain: Our hormones will work on them? Science Officer: Most of the hormones will work on them Captain. They are also carbon life form like us, only difference is they use oxygen to produce energy, we use nitrogen. Hormones/ proteins are all made of carbon, nitrogen hydrogen oxygen. Captain: Have you analyzed the various effects of asteroid X2 hitting planet. Science Officer: Our computer simulation indicates that the atmosphere will catch fire. The fire starts consuming the atmospheric oxygen. When the oxygen content of the atmosphere reaches 21% it will not be able to sustain the atmospheric fire and the fire will die down. In the end, a thin cloud of dust will formed above planet’s immediate atmosphere. We can use our proton beam to destroy the dust cloud. Captain: What will planet look like and what will happen to different life forms? Science Officer: All those bigger and heavier life forms which rely on greater intake of oxygen will die because of lack of enough oxygen in atmosphere. Less intelligent life forms will not be able to protect themselves from the dust cloud which will be formed aftermath; most of them will also be wiped out. Survivors will be comparatively intelligent life forms, and animals for which 21% atmospheric oxygen is enough for producing energy. Captain: One more thing. Science Officer: Yes Captain. Captain: Is it possible to modify these animals so that they can produce energy just using sun and atmospheric oxygen? Science Officer: No Captain, it is not. We use nitrogen compounds for our energy source. Nitrogen is capable of forming energy rich chemicals in presence of sunlight. But oxygen is not capable of forming such energy rich compounds, therefore they needs external source of energy supply. Captain: I see. How long will it takes us to change the path of the asteroid so that it will collide this planet? Science Officer: It will take three months Captain. The atmospheric fire set up after the asteroid hit the planet will last almost a year. Then we can use our proton beam to clear the dust. It hit the planet, a fire broke into planet’s atmosphere, lasted for about a year. After fire died down there was a thin layer of dust covering the planet, which was cleared by the spaceship using proton beam. Commander: We have located five different geographical points where there are enough moblotangstaplite. All of these points are inhabited by a monkey like life forms. We can train them; modify them to increase their physical strength. We can start this task within a week Captain, once the planet reaches its normal ecosystem. Captain: Very well. Science officer what changes are you planning for these monkey like creatures to improve their strengths? Science Officer: I am proposing following changes Captain. First of all we have communication problem with these creatures. They lack flexible vocal cord to produce varieties of sounds. At present they can produce only limited sets of sounds which is hindering language development. Once we genetically modify their vocal cords it will be able to produce unlimited number of sounds. This will help them develop their own language.  We can teach them communicable language. Second, at present they use both, arms and legs for movement. This situation is hindering muscular movement of forearms, hind arms as well as legs. We need to modify that too, so that they start moving using only legs. This will increase their load bearing efficiency dramatically. Third, we need to stop the development of flexible appendage to the torso, a tail like development. Once they start to walk with legs they do not need this tail like structure. After this we can start training them for mining. We may need other minor modifications depending upon how they behave after first two genetic modifications. Captain: Do we have to wait long for these modifications to complete? Science Officer: No Captain. Vocal cord modification will take approximately six months and depending upon their brains reaction to it, they may be able to produce millions of sounds within a year and at that point we can teach them language. We can make them walk only on legs within six months Captain. I have to modify our gene and protein corresponding to those genes and inject on them. Our gene will start replacing their gene and they will develop physical strengths in their legs. The process will even faster if we choose 1-2years old monkey. Captain: This place will be our HQ. We will establish operation center in all five geographical locations. We will use shuttles to go to all five geographical locations where we can mine our compound of interest. Some of us write good stories, some of us find items to criticize. I am doing the latter as I find that more entertaining. ____ Writing a science fiction could be tricky. You really have to have a good grasp of subject matter to handle it well. Like Cacophonyx pointed out, lightyears is a measure of distance not time, as many people confuse between them. I saw your justification but I don't know how you can justify this statement that you put: "We will be able to confirm it after 0.1 light years." I know I am spoiling your otherwise interesting story here but if you don't mind I will present some facts that will invalidate your story: 1. Scientists say O2 content hasn’t varied too much and in fact it used to be lower than what it is today, not higher; because of too much CO2 and Nitrogen. Some even claim that it was rather around 15 % around Mesozoic era. 2. You say after O2 reaches 21% atmospheric fire dies down. Scientists claim that the atmosphere can sustain fire until 15% O2 which is a more conservative value than previously estimated (10%). I am sure there are other fallacies (like how did they travel faster than light) there but I wanted to point out the non-obvious ones. This might help you get better on your stories, it sure helped me brush up my memories. I know it’s just a fiction, but wouldn’t it be more interesting if it stays within the realm of possibility and valid assumptions? Anyway, I find the story interesting so please continue. I will try not to annoy you with facts again.

Stiffer, I dont mind constructive criticism. Regarding using light years  there are many explanation possible. My logic is 1. In our daily life we use distance  as a point of interest for example "100 km pachi gadi ma tel halna parcha hai" "200 km pachi ramro tham paincha lunch ko lagi " Now what I am saying is After travelling 0.1 light years (0.1* 10 trillion Km)  Means after travelling 1 trillion kilometer I have used light years as distance not time ( but if you know the speed it is possible to know the time taken to travell)  In my story  "Indicators show that we may need new engine after approximately one light year"  means they need new engine after travelling one trillion KM Now, how much time they will take to travell one light year?  if they are travelling at the speed of light it will be one earth year, if they are travelling at double the speed of light it will be 6 earth months and if they are travelling at half the speed of light it will be two earth years. Use of term "light year" doesnt mean that I am using them as time Then Why I didnt use Kilometer and miles instead of light years ? 1. Kilometers and miles are  terms used by earthlings, they orignate on earth. It is not necessary that aligns also use same units to measure the distance. 2.Even the light year may have different distance for aligns.  why? Light year is the distanc travelled by light in one earth year,  that is in 365 days. It is not necessary that  every planet revolves round  its sun in 365 days. What if some planets completes one circle  around its sun?  But for the aligns who came from the planet whose one year is equivalent to 400 earth days for them if they use the term "light year" it will be the distance travelled by light in 400 earth days not 365 days. Likie subatomic particles, elemnst which are the fundamental unit in Universe light is also fundamental to this universe that is why I beleive they use distance travelled by light as a measurement of the distance and time. I agree that my use of words "one light year’s time" and "after travelling for nine light years" might have created confusion. I should have rephrased those but at that time I was thinking "after travelling for 100 km means after approximately one hr. regarding  your points (1) That is one school of thought, another school of thought is earth was rather vocanic and lots of gas offing out of earths enterior and burning in the atmosphere. lots of volcanos were erupting and they were cunsuming atmospheric oxygen by burning trees etc. At that time space around earth was not that setteled so many samller asteroids were hitting earth they were also consuming oxygen. I do not know which school is right but later fitted my fiction thats why I used it. Your point (2) Yes many scientis say that. Many ppl question that by saying then why our atmosphere is not catching fire ? According to them at present we need continious supply of fule in order to creat fire. Once you stop supplying fuel filre slowly dies down. According to them, if the  oxygen content more than 24% then once you start fire ( in larger scale) there will be enough heat generated for for fire to continue. here gain, I do not know which school of thought is correct but later suited to my fiction thats why I took it. I will definitely use your comments to sharpen coming parts.

We also need to increase the supply of energetic food. Their output much more  than intake, calorie wise. So, there are still questions : 1. How did dinasaurs appear? 2. Light year is a measurement unit , it's not like 'years of months' we count. 2. Captain discussing there is no 'afterlife' and then again telling them, they'll &quot;reincarnate&quot; to guide these pesky humans 3. Hell and Heaven planet concept is rad. I mean 'planet'???? That concept of hell and heaven could've been put on this way.. dimensional. The universe that we see from our limited ability to see at the sky is not really what we see. Just like dogs can't differentiate much colors, we can't differentiate dimensions and other vast array of color spectrum of the universe. Naming hell and heaven just planets, narrows the whole concept of the creation. This whole milky galaxy that we're in is changing it's course. We are heading towards ascension as some believe. If this is a vast universe, and 'captain and his crew' has the technology, then they would be 'warping' through portals like wormholes which connects more than two different universes(just a theory).&nbsp; Everything in the universe is created through vibration. A new word like 'substantiation' could be used to propose the idea of travelling rather than travelling this and that light year distance. 'Captain and the crew' descended to tell those monkeys that they created them, but they don't have the idea of who created them?&nbsp; again comes the 'dimension', plug this stuff in and the story would sound more non-pseudoscience Overall, it's an interesting story. :D&nbsp; Super like it. :D&nbsp;

How did dinasaurs This fantasy is sabout human and god only, yes it is possible to write fiction about appearence of the dinasaurs, but to go up to that lebel may be a tourture for myself. 2. Light yeras , I think I already explained about it in my previous explanation 3. Have you heard of edcar casey?&nbsp; how about other re-incarnated prophets? They do show amazing recalls of their past life since their childhood. There has been researches going on and scientific research is mute so far, no explanation. I 've more than 12 physicists in my mind, who believes the energy inside us is the life force which can take forms lifetime after lifetime. I've read books written by scientists, what more can you ask now?&nbsp;Most of these are spiritual in a sense, not saying religious. If you go and see yourself,contemplate who you are , you'll find yourself close to divinity. That very yourself, that very consciousness which say, you are 'you' , just think about it.. you'll find many answers in my opinion. Just sit in, and think for at least hours in silence.&nbsp; The moment our consciousness is Shut Off here, it'll Turn On somewhere else with your very own consciousness. This is my first attempt, maybe it is unfair for &ldquo;Chariots of god&rdquo; to compare with my fiction. My story is concentrated on creation of human by using alien gene. Limitations of oxygen metabolism, and disappearance of dinosaurs. One insight from one school of thoughts is not enough my friend. For such complex matter, various &ldquo;insights&rdquo; exists until we define it. So what insight we got from Chariots of gods must not put lid on this complex matter.
