Dear sajhaites, I just wanted to hear your experience on sending electronics equipments through mail. I am sure you must have used usps express mail, dhl or fed ex. Main problem is ability to guarantee product will reach its destination even after we r ready to pay customs. I m thinking to send photographic equipments, lense n stuff like dat. Do you hav any idea how much customs do they charge on electronics? Just wanted it be hassle free.

customs!!! ummmm you are sending those stuffs to nepal?? go with DHL.. they've offices outt there in nepal.  Talk to DHL, they'll tell you more about that than anyone of us here. I always take stuff with me and sell there. It's easy to get stuffs sent from Nepal to Here. From US to Nepal??? possible but miserable.

I think sending package through USPS is not bad as well. Registered/insured makes it sure the package gets delivered. Postal office in Nepal calls the receiver to pick up the package , and they get it. small sized items, you can use USPS large volume, you can use DHL> my personal experience..

What ever u sending from any carriers likes USPS DHL OR FEDEX. Make sure u to have delivery confirmation and insurance. I did send iPhone, playstation, tablets and iPod so many times they take Rs. 800 as custom fees back in Nepal. For Mac book they charge Rs. 1400 where as for general laptops they will charge between 1000-1200 NRS. so the custom price will be various reagrding the custom officer. I know that money go inside there pocket because you will not get any invoice for that. BOLNAY KO PITHO BIKCHA NABOLNAY KO CHAMAL PANI BIGDAINA. So u have to talk with them nicely chances are 99% for cheap custom. I never experienced the problem sending goods to nepal from all these carriers. It will be on time 1-2 days up and down, you have to consider it as u know it's Nepal not USA UK CANADA OR AUS. Good luck buddy :)
