You can use iPhone 4 in Nepal if you unlock it. My father is using an Unlocked iPhone 4 that I sent him last summer. Regarding iPhone 4S, its unlock is not available yet but if you buy an unlocked iPhone 4S from Apple online store, you will be able to use it as well in Nepal. For the sim card, you can cut the sim card using sim card cutter or knife and use it in iPhone 4/S.

 It works using Gevey Sim given that iPhone 4 is for AT&T. Verizon model won't work. Unlocking is not mandatory. U can unlock using the Gevey Sim if the phone is jailbroken. You can buy Gevey Sim for $5 on ebay. Just make sure the phone is jailbroken or jailbreakable. iOS 5 is not jailbreakable. Last edited: 11-Dec-11 02:38 PM

 I haven't found a site that provides untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0. There is one semi-tethered jailbreak but you need a macbook. I think it's the one from pod2g. If you wish to use it in Nepal using Gevey Sim, I suggest you find an untethered jailbreak.

The one that my father is using, I bought from eBay and unlocked it myself.I bought it for around 350 including shipping. It had iOS 4.3 (I guess). Check local craiglist as well. Many people sell it cheaper these days. Last week I bought one for 280 but locked to ATT and iOS 5. Since I am a ATT customer, I dont need to unlock it. I advice you to check craiglist and then only eBay. Thanks

No need to go to phone unlocking shop.You can unlock your iPhone4 from home with a help of online unlocking service provider There are several ways to unlock Iphone4. According to me remote unlocking is the best way to unlock Iphone.There are many online providers who provide this service .Let me suggest a site where i used to get my iphone unlocked Theunlockspot.com  If you want you can try them.
