H!B or GC

 Hi Friends,   I have few questions regarding H1B and GC.   My company is willing to file both H1b and GC for me. I am in opt now and will expire on Oct 2012(already extended). finished my MS in computer science so can file in EB2 category.   is it a good idea to file GC directly or file H1B first and then GC?   I really want to do GC directly. if I file GC straight and my OPT expire while GC in process, will I be out of status or will I be on OPT status with EAD until the decision on GC?   Please suggest

Secure your status at everyphase. Apply for H1B (on April 1, 2012) so that you wil be in H1B status starting October 1, 2012. In the meanwhile process your GC as well. Earlier the better. Consult with your company's Lawyer/HR dept. They should have a concrete plans too. ~GoodLuck

saathi malai pani paci h1b file garna maddat garnu hunca ki? i m about to be done with my MS. Currently working as Java/J2ee Dev. May require H1b in the middle of 2012, though I can go with OPT yet.
