KATHMANDU, NOV 23 - Demanding annulment of the ‘controversial deal’ by the USAID with Monsanto company and the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MoAC) to promote hybrid corn seeds in the Nepal, a group of people from all walks of life are taking part in a silent protest in front of the US Embassy in Kathmandu.  Issuing a press statement, the ‘Stop Monsanto in Nepal’ group, a social network advocating against the entry of Monsanto seeds in Nepal, said on Wednesday that the USAID has been slow to respond to public concerns.
