May depend upon the officer at exit point. You could take 2 laptop for sure, one for your personal use and one as a gift to someone else. If you can explain the officer that you are presenting cameras and laptops as a gift to your dear ones, may be you won't have any problems. Some people have passed 3 laptops too without any problems. I have never heard people in trouble taking a number of laptops, cameras or cellphones. Moral of the story is: Uncertainity at TIA. Happy Journey!
