Will verizon iphone 4s work in nepal?

Hi dear sajhaites n geeks, I have a simple question for you. I already have an iphone 4 and its time for me to upgrade to 4s. Frankly, i don't need 4s n i m thinking to send to nepal. But i am on verizon n I'm wondering if it will work in nepal for ntc? For iphone 4, one of my cousins said u need to cut sim or something. Am i just wondering does it work n how complicated is the process to make it work?

@vyrus......yes iPhone 4S runs on both gsm and cdma but it hasn't been unlocked yet.
