My dear Darshan Rauniyaar Ji, I just could not believe my eyes when I read your comment thanking me. Thank you so much for your comment and taking some time to reply to me in Sajha. I could only appreciate it and show my gratitude towards you from the bottom of my heart. Dear Rauniyaar Ji, I would like to kindly inform you that my Mom had invited you in one of her fund raising programs in Seattle. She flew there from Kathmandu in August on an invitation by her American friends in Seattle to raise some funds for Nepalese children in Nepal. You had graced that event by your kind presence and I really would like to thank you for your time. I hope you remember the event that I am talking about. When she returned back to New York, she had only good things to say about you. I usually tend to think that most of the so called Nepalese elites in the U.S carry this swagger as if their egos dwarf the Empire State Building. You, on the contrary, were portrayed as some one who was down to earth, very humble, kind, gentle, generous and very hard working Nepalese brethren. I could only trust her because of your proven track record of self discipline, hard work, dedication, motivation and your desire to serve not only your family but our Nepalese community, our fellow Americans and America as a whole. Rauniyaar Ji, I myself, is a staunch libertarian. I discovered my Libertarian political philosophy through my Hero and Idol, Dr. Ron Paul and I really have to apologize to you for saying that I don’t have any appetite for our President Obama. He really is a wolf in a sheep cloth selling populist rhetoric to ignorant Americans while doing everything to help his buddies in the Wall Street who spent almost billion of dollars to elect or may I say select this man to the Office of the Presidency. Many in America tend to believe that he is a socialist but he is really a corporatist. He is immoral, unethical and dishonest person without any integrity or principle. He is wiping his soiled rear with the constitution and flushing it down the toilet. Rauniyaar Ji, the first thing my mom said to me was that I should help raise some funds for your campaign. Currently I am involved with Dr. Ron Paul’s campaign and dedicating my time, effort and contribution to his campaign. When I first came to know about you through Sajha, I checked your website and your agenda. It was quite opposite to my own libertarian principles and this is what I commented in Sajha. “Nas [Sep 09,2011 10:03] I truly admire Rauniyaar Ji's hardwork, dedication and I celebrate his success. He is an inspiration to all of us. But I am in dilemma. Rauniyaar Ji's political belief and my libertarian beliefs are diametrically opposite. While I believe in individual freedom and liberty and the smallest form of government, Rauniyaar Ji is all for big government, welfarism and a nanny state. I can never ever support any democrats on the ground of my principles. Both the Democrats and Republicans are the filth of this beautiful nation. This country has been destroyed by this two-headed serpent. I think it's time the American citizens wake up before it's too late. I do not want to wish my Nepalese brethren an unsuccess but I truly don't want no more democrats in the House or the Republicans for that matter.” [END] Dear Rauniyaar Ji, I really wish to help you but I need to have a clear picture of your vision for America. I need to know where you stand on individual freedom and liberties, small government, Bill of Rights and the Constitution. Above all, I want to know if you are anti Federal Reserve or not. We libertarians want to totally abolish the FED and bring back the Gold Standard or something in par. I could only support those candidates who have unwavering dedication to protect and follow the Constitution of America. Rauniyaar Ji, I know you are a very busy man and I don’t expect you to reply me but you could at least lay out your visions more precisely in your website. I truly would like to request you to give some thoughts on this. Last not but the least, I have made a small contribution to you not because I agree with your political views but as a fellow Nepalese brethren. If your political philosophy appeal to me, I will make sure that every person that I know make contributions to you. I am a poor student. Sorry, it's not a huge contribution. Rauniyaar Ji, I really wish that you win this race but on the ground of Constitutional principles and I do hope that you hold this beautiful Constitution worth your utmost dedication unlike filthy war criminal George Bush Jr. who called it “Goddamned Piece of Paper”. If you win this race, we Nepalese win this race. You will make a history and make all us proud but please don’t forget what I have requested you to be, a person of unwavering and unflinching integrity and principle and to be truly true to your self through thick and thin, rain or shine. I hope to see you personify the Founding Father’s ideal of the citizen-statesman. Good luck. With Best Wishes, Nas PS: I really wish to see that you are a staunch anti QE4 but I guess I just have to wait and see your views in your website.

I wish all of us Nepali ask the similar question to our Nepali leaders before voting for them, donating to them or burning tires and even vandalizing from their order. Last edited: 30-Sep-11 02:42 PM

Nas Ji, Please call Darshan Ji at his contact number listed in his website (Cell#: 425 780 1800 ) and talk to him to better understand his view or any question you have. I do not think this is right approache. If you truly supported him I do not think you would be doing something like this. Once again please call him or email (darshan@darshanforcongress.com) him rather then doing such nonsense. Thanks

Better Nepal, you make me crack up so high. let me make something clear. when Mr Dharsan Rauniyar, can post his post in sajha, asking for donations, from nepalese student, who he knows very well, cant even vote, now that is not nonsense and inappropriate. but if someone with a hindsight of responsiblity , just asks , what his views are, rather than the normal jargon stated in his website, then that becomes inappropriate, that becomes a wrong approach. You baffle me with your ignorance. let me tell you something more, he's running from 1st congresional district, with about 700k population, 83 % white, less than 8 % asian, now you calculate the % of nepali within that 8%, let apart, those who are US citizen, let apart those who are here in sajha. yet it is very appropriate for a future congressman, to solicit motenatry donation, from people who he knows very well, dont even have a voting right, yet its inappropriate for the same doners to ask for what he stands for. Geez grow up kid. As far as calling him, seriously, who are you kidding. Really ? Do you not think, it would be a must smarter move to state his views in his own webiste, enabling it to reach millions that spending time explaining to a single person. We support him because he is a nepali. That is indeed a matter of pride and we respect him for that. But to ask what he stands for , what his takes are on liberatian issues, Foreign policies, Healthcare, Taxtion, Economy, is wrong from your point. " Healthcare—Caring for Everyone We have failed to take care of our citizens in need of health care who cannot afford health insurance. It is the right of every citizen to have access to affordable healthcare. I support Universal Health Care system" THATS HIS PLAN ????? I CAN GOOGLE THAT UP MYSELF. Our Foreign Policy Our lack of reflection of our values in our policies has made us unsafe. We are faced with challenges that we have never imagined before. It is imperative that we set an example, to the rest of the world, as a democratic country dedicated to human rights and civil liberties. Our American values of freedom, justice and prosperity must be reflected in our foreign policy. I support building coalitions to push for democracy and speaking against injustice. I support United Nations charters and conventions to bring economic and political stability in the world and offer a helping You call that a foreign Policy speech ??? How the hell is he gonna set an example, press on withdrawing troops from Iraq, Afganistan, Whats his take in Arab Spring, Iraq - the americans that just got released. The PR from Iran saying their ships will be close to US water, the provocation. Israel / Palestine, China- tibet- Taiwan. Forget all that, how about south east asia. And you have the adacity, with your bias knowledge and pity hindsite to say someone that he cannot ask the , responsible questions. Anyways, he's a nepali, hope he does well. Its not our opinion that matters anyway, hope he's done well for his district, tahts gonna get him the votes. Last edited: 30-Sep-11 05:25 PM

"I do not think this is right approache. If you truly supported him I do not think you would be doing something like this. Once again please call him or email.... him rather then doing such nonsense." Huh ! What do you mean by this is not the "right approache" , " doing something like this", "doing such nonsense" , betternepal bro ? Like....umm.... did I do something wrong here ? Do you even know what "an open letter" means ? If requesting Darshan Ji to lay out his "visions more precisely" in his website is wrong, then I don't want to be right. And I am sure Darshan Ji is a man of honor and he will look into such request positively. It only helps him. Trust me. Look what says he, our Nepalese brethren Honorable Darshan Rauniyaar Ji: "Thank you for your comments NAS ji and friends, sorry I was travelling and could not respond at given time. I will specifically lay out my plans on all issues where I stand in Q4 and that would be my pledge to the people. Please stay tuned." That's the attitude of a Real Statesman. That's the attitude of a Leader. That's the attitude that should represent this beautiful nation. My personal philosophy is that the Government is the responsibility of the Governed and that our Government is nothing but the collective consciousness of it's citizens. I believe our Darshan Ji is strong in his will and in his thoughts like our Great Sagarmatha for he is a proud lad born in the land of the Brave Ancestors, Nepal. He will definitely be challenged in the coming days by his opponents. Politics is a dirty game they say. There will be lot of mud slinging on him by his opponents and if Darshan Ji start to catch a feelings (I am sure he would not) with a simple open letter by Mr. Nobody Nas, then how will he outfox the foxes like Scum bag Bill O' Reilly, Douche Bag Michele Malkin, Dirt Bag Sean Hannity and othe media whores of Rupert Murdoch.... Huh ?? This is America, not nepal. Thank God that we could still voice our opinions in this beautiful nation. "An honest man in politics shines more there than he would elsewhere." - Mark Twain I am just requesting him to be honest to himself and to the people he represents. I am sure he already is. That's all. Just A Request, for that matter. God Bless. Nas bro

The Myth of American Freedom "None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." - Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe What If Our Darshan Rauniyaar Ji Knows this Dark Reality ? Watch the latest video at video.foxbusiness.com Last edited: 30-Sep-11 07:55 PM

The Myth of American Freedom - by My Good Judge Andrew P. Napolitano "Does the government work for us or do we work for the government? Is freedom in America a myth or a reality? Tonight, what if we didn't live in a free country? What if the Constitution were written not to limit government, but to expand it? What if the Constitution didn't fulfill the promise of the Declaration of Independence, but betrayed it? What if the Constitution actually permitted the government to limit and constrict freedom? What if the Bill of Rights was just a paper promise, that the government could avoid whenever it claimed the need to do so? What if the same generation – in some cases the same people – that drafted the U.S. Constitution enacted laws that violated it? What if the merchants and bankers who financed the American Revolution bought their way into the new government and got it to enact laws that stifled their competition? What if the civil war that was fought in the name of freedom actually advanced the cause of tyranny?" - Judge What If Our Darshan Rauniyaar Ji did not know this Dark Reality ? "None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." - Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

@ betternepal you said it what i was thinking man. @nas i don't think its a good approach either. First you are criticizing way too much about his policies and lauding your beloved Ron Paul even when you acknowledge that he does not have any specific vision yet. Also, I would love to see much of criticism directed at his vision or lack of vision like tranquility. Stop criticizing people for just being a democrat. I have been reading a lot of your posts and they are very interesting yet some are not as persuading as others. And number one reason is just like every republican argument, they are just being too radical. PS: I am not a democrat and can't even vote just felt like it was not a good approach.
