my speculation was not based on 30000000 Nepali but personally knowing 5 Nepali restaurant owners around, Boulder, Denver, westminister area for living in this area for last 7 years. and considering there are like 8 Nepali restaurantd around here it is is a very valid analysis. but again i did not say i knew the owner and my statements were not directly directed to him, so no defense needed here.  ok if you insist so much i will stop by and personally talk to the wner sometimes, don't worry i will be respectful and non aggressive... i really hope this is not the owner whose last name starts with B, cuz i know a restaurant owner whose last name starts with B and he's a big time [Disallowed String for - use of word not allowed] hunter in colfax area and manupulates inncent Nepalis in his restaurant like slaves and i will have no respect and patience to meet him face to face, so let's not even bother if that is the case..  anyways what are your points here besides coming and telling us he's innocent and simple?  is he admitting that the error in name is his lack of understanding of English? is he even admitting that the name is an error, or is he firm on the matter that he has made no mistakes?   pl let him know thalt we don't hate him or anything, we're merely making a suggestion. i would not drink chai or have even that complementary papad at his restaurant because i don't want to support a restaurant that is offensive oto my country's identity. plus, like someone said if i want indian food i would rather go to true indian restaurants such as royal india, star or india, etc etc around here.. as i know very well Nepali and indian food are different , maybe not for outsiders but as a Nepaliour  it is for me.  i would like to focus your's and your's simple friend's attention to the decision made by sports authority about their sign when they had red color that went against the values of broncos  in the area. they were smart enough to admit and correct the mistake rather than acting jerks about it , or trying to have a spokes person who tries to defend them innocent or simple , per say.   this is all personal opinion, i have no hateful sentiments towards the name or the restaurant , it's owner or the restaurant itself. I wish them all the best and pray to god that they'll realize and correct the mistake soon rather than defending it with being simple and innocent.

I agree that this name is distasteful. I personally also won't go to eat at this restaurant. I bet that this restaurant owner will also be talking about it if it's not been for his own restaurant. I find it unusual that the restaurant owner sends someone Indian to defend the restaurant title - INDIA'S Nepal oven. Please bring me/show me any other names with NEPAL's India ..., I'll be glad to write/discuss on its defense. While it is important to discuss such issues, I find it shocking that we show apathy toward the important issue of shops selling degraded food in Kathmandu. I think that we should be more concerned about the shops openly selling these kind of foods. The administration and police probably took the bribe from these selected shops and let them continue to open it while the others were selectively punished.

This page, this discussion has been FULL OF MISINTERPRETATIONS whenever I have tried to say anything. Somebody imagined my friend, owner of this restaurant 'must be greedy' - I repied saying I don't think so - 'because owner is very generous of not charging me for appetizers(that have cost against them in Menu)/naan sometimes out of friendly gesture.' - People started saying he gives you papad and chai... something something... and turned the direction of discussion itself. Wasnt it proved with enough points that he doesnot seem to be greedy - and thats it, If I see him twice a week comapred to someone sitting somewhere else thinking he MUST BE greedy? Then this guy finds it unusal that owner has SENT an Indian to defend. You know what I feel?? I think it is sad. It is sad that I have to do this for my friend, because for me humanity and kindness is more important than thinking 'Oh I am Indian, you are Nepali and he is Nepali." This is not right way to think. And nobody sends anyone. No one is a puppet who'll be sent to do things. Owner said he wants to do a happy and healthy business but his fellow country men told there was problem in restaurant name. "I am not that well educated, did you find something odd?" I said "no I didnot, whats wrong?" Then he told me about the misplaced apostrophe in banner (by the way on his delivery van there IS NO apostrophe and the name appears as "India NEPAL Oven") I can post a pic of it next time. Well so I thought I 'll come and talk to people who are trying to harm my friend's business. ok, to answer some more cool minded people's concern here: I told you guys I 'll go and talk to owner about what all you felt. Here is the update: I went to the restaurant at lunch- friday. A lot of you have said very bad about my friend, and that he must be dumb and lot of other bad words, One truth that I did not mention openly yet is: Owner actually is not so much educated as you people. He doesnot know to use computer also that well. I am feeling very bad right now that I have to talk like this, so low, about a nice person, but I think you people who have so much hatred, you should know whom you are calling bad names. He came to USA and worked as a chef in some Indian restaurant for 5-7 years, now with some little money he has managed to rent this restaurant and build his own rapport, thats why he wanted to Add his nation's name NEPAL to a Indian restaurant franshise chain 'India's Clay Oven'. He doesnot understand language (even Math!) so well. If You don't believe this, again, I will give you 2 options:- 1. Go meet him!! See yourself. 2. I can not help you! I am already embarrassed to say things like this for my friend in public. He never thought his own people wont like it, because there's a grammatical mistake in the banner. He still feels sorry for it and said he will change it sometime in future when possible. On this lunch discussion, again, he did not let me pay for my lunch because I have been trying to help him - please you people and apologize. I think this should be good and solved now, if anyone still has more reasons to hate things I am sorry I can not help. by the way on his delivery van there IS NO apostrophe and the name appears as "India NEPAL Oven" It appears as "India's Nepal Oven" on everything else besides that van. So he probably made a mistake on the van.

 the discussin was not about whether he was greedy or not? tall or short? nice or not nice? simple or fancy? etc etc neither it was if he gives u free appetizer or if he charges you or other for papad or chai either. ... he made a simple mistake and we wanted to make our point that we find the name little offensive and that is all there is to it. and i do respect you for you opinion and loyalty towards the business as well. however, what remains the topic is , again the name is distasteful to lots of Nepalis and wish he would change it, but it's up to him.
