Public Service Announcement Dear Sajhaites, Many of us will be travelling by air this 4th of July. I highly recommend you that  you do not pass through the “naked body scanner” . These scanners emit very high dose of radiation to your body which can have serious consequences to your health. You probably have gone to your dentist. Notice how they shield your body while taking an X-Ray just for a second. You are literally entering a microwave in these scanners. Children and senior citizens are more prone.  “In a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the DHS, The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) says it's obtained documents concerning the scanners'  radiation risks, including agency emails, radiation studies, memoranda of agreement concerning radiation testing programs and the results of some radiation tests.”  “EPIC says that TSA staff have been concerned that a large number of workers have been falling victim to cancer, strokes and heart disease.”  "One document set reveals that even after TSA employees identified cancer clusters possibly linked to radiation exposure, the agency failed to issue employees dosimeters - safety devices that could assess the level of radiation exposure," says EPIC.  When you enter the airport and see such body scanners, please tell the TSA agents that you are OPTING OUT and that you would like a MANUAL PAT DOWN. Many have complained that manual pat downs are nothing more than “molestation” but it is still a safe but humiliating way to go. You could watch on youtube how former Miss USA Susie Castillo, who said she felt "molested" by a pat-down at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in April.  There is currently a “war” going on between the criminal TSA and the informed citizens in Texas. If the bill passes, it will make imprison any TSA agents who touch your genital criminal and send to jail. But the crooks in Texas legislatures are playing all the dirty tricks to kill this bill. Have a safe travel and happy 4th of July.

I am calling B.S. on this. First of all cancer due to exposure to radiation takes years to surface; how long have we installed these scanners? Second, the radiation dosage due to these scanners are thousand times less than the risk level. Radiation emitted by dental scanner are different in strength and if I have to guess, they are stronger. Babies and pregnant women are at more risk and I wouldn’t take them through them but for everybody else, I don’t see much issue…as long as you don’t take an airplane everyweek. If you have a choice then by all means avoid it (why take a chance right), don’t go out of your way to skip them though.

"cancer due to exposure to radiation takes years to surface; how long have we installed these scanners" These scanners are installed recently probably a year or less and already many TSA agents have been "falling victims of cancer" as revealed by theTSA documents obtained after gruelling law suits by EPIC. So you could imagine the serious consequences of these scanners. Stiffler bro, I ask you to take a caution before you decide to enter those Backscatter X-Ray. If you don't love your testiclces, then that's another thing. Please folks go through manual pat downs. These things are not safe. "A team of scientists from the University of California San Francisco have written a letter to the White House warning that the scanners present – above and beyond the risks to the general population – "potential serious health risks" to certain segments of society, such as the elderly and the pregnant. "There is good reason to believe that these scanners will increase the risk of cancer to children and other vulnerable populations," say the cosigners of the letter, which include experts in biochemistry, imaging, X-rays and cancer research. "We are unanimous in believing that the potential health consequences need to be rigorously studied before these scanners are adopted." "The X-ray dose from these devices has often been compared in the media to the cosmic ray exposure inherent to airplane travel or that of a chest X-ray," the professors' letter states. "However, this comparison is very misleading: Both the air travel cosmic ray exposure and chest X-rays have much higher X-ray energies, and the health consequences are appropriately understood in terms of the whole body volume dose. In contrast, these new airport scanners are largely depositing their energy into the skin and immediately adjacent tissue, and since this is such a small fraction of body weight/volume, possibly by one to two orders of magnitude, the real dose to the skin is now high." The professors are calling on the administration to specifically reexamine potential risks to the following groups:     Older travelers, those greater than 65 years of age, who may be at particular risk from the mutagenic effects of the X-rays;     A fraction of the female population especially sensitive to mutagenesis-provoking radiation leading to breast cancer, women typically exempted from X-ray mammograms, for example;     The population of immuno-compromised individuals, such as HIV and cancer Patients;     Children and adolescents;     Pregnant women and their unborn children;     And men in general, because of the proximity of the testicles to skin, which is most highly effected by the backscatter rays. Nas bro, I do love them..I just don't want TSA to love and feel them..if you know my gist. I rather go through the scanner.

Yea bro, These criminals give us a choice, which is not really a choice. Either fry up in radiation or get your testicles groped. I will be travelling soon and I am planning to wear a thin under vest and a brief but nothing like this gentleman. Did you get fondled? MICHAEL MOORE:  Oh did I get fondled! Let me put it this way Maury, I’m pretty sure there was an erection. (The audience groaned again.) MAURY POVICH:  (With a shocked expression) You are not telling me that you got an erection when airline security was patting you down! MICHAEL MOORE:  Oh yeah I am! MAURY POVICH:   Wait a minute…. pretty sure? MICHAEL MOORE:  Well, it’s been a while since I’ve seen it! Hell, it’s been years since I’ve seen anything below my stomach, so I’m just going by memory. But from what I do recall, I’m pretty sure I experienced an erection when they patted me down Oh God, whatever is happening to this "Land of Free and Home of Brave" !!! These sick pedophiles TSA agents are destroying this country. God please bless this country back to it's glory.
