lol i wonder who will show up here saying No - India has no interest over Nepal to divide it . Common isn't this enough everytime before something happens Indian Representatives are in Nepal or Nepali government officials have visited India . If you really know someone within Nepali government higher position who can trust you and give you one secret information do ask them "How Many Nepali Government Officials are getting Paid from Indian government ?"

nagarikreport, If there was anything good done by rulers in history thats mostly because of wise advises of bahun advisors. And, who send nepali soldiers to british india in to suppress movement of independence in 1857?? Would any good country/government send troops to fight against its neighbor at the order or a colonial power ?? and who would send the youths of country to fight for a foreign country just for a greed of few hundrend rupees royalty per soldier (yes i m talking about recruitment of british gurkha ) ?? many more examples like this in history and they were unfortunately as they didnot listen to wise advise of bahuns.

I don't think India, as represented by the Government of the Federal Repubic of India (?), has any interest in dividing Nepal. With the problems it already has at its borders with all its neighbors already, why would it want further trouble along its border with Nepal? At this point, their primary interest lies in checking the Maoists because of their perceived conception of Maoist-Naxalites cooperation. Apart from those few old-age thinkers, who still are enamored with the lust of dominion over smaller countries in neighboring regions, I guess smarter Indians and Nepalis both realize that economic harmonization between India and Nepal benefits both the countries. I would also say that these thinkers, who have progressive thinking, are pushed back by populist propoganda in both the countries. I would say that it would be a pretty naive fear to still feel that India wants to divide Nepal to conquer Nepal. India should send some Western educated and progressive people as Ambassadors to Nepal. Sood created a lot of mess and worsened relations between the countries. He represents a certain Indian mentality that carries an air of superiority in dealing with the neighboring countries. I wonder why India sends these dumbasses to Nepal!
