HI i am filing tax .using turbotax..ra ma vidyarthi nai hu... JUS wondering do u qualify for earned income credit?? It says person must be us citizen or resident alien...k ho tyo? I have only few days left for filing tax...i know should have filed earlier but been really bg..any help will be appreciated...thanks in advance to nepali community

Resident aliens means someone with a permanent residency ( Green card) . If I am not very mistaken , you can file tax as a US resident if you have been in the coutry for over 5 years , I could be absolutely wrong though. Why dont you visit a Tax filing agency and just ask, just a thought.
