Sorry about the condusion. My visa expired while i was in f1.now i am in h1b status and need to have a new entry us visa, so i guess that is technically restamping or is it just stamping? Thanks all for your inputs, i am now thinking of just going to nepal because i will go there anyways, just skeptical because you know things are always messeed up back home, but hearing from what you guys say, its very safe. Those of you going to nepal for h1b stamping please share your experiences.

purana kagaz-- You may still have to worry about PIMS verification even if you have more than one years of experience under H1-B. I got my H1 B stamped in KTM last November and I got stuck for a couple of days due to this PIMS verification. I was already in my second year around that time. Usually, this verification last couple of days if its not related to security reasons, but if time is of essence then that wait could be a very anxious one.
