Hello all, I am into this confusing situation. I look forward to all your help. My employer is filing for my H1 this april. To initiate the process, the employer's attorneys have contacted me and have asked me to answer some questions. They have asked for my previous employment history and also have asked if I ever have accepted unauthorized employment in my current status(i.e, F1). I have worked using my ssn in the past while on F1 visa. Now I am confused if I should disclose that information to the attorneys. Since the attorneys are working on behalf of the employer, how would this information affect my H1 filing? Does USCIS require this information while filing for H1? Also, if I dont disclose this information to the attorneys right now, can it affect me in future in any way? What do you all suggest? Should I disclose the information? Your help will be highly appreciated. Please share your experiences and thoughts. Thanks in advance.

I got mine done through my private attorney. Never got asked that question.

Dont tell him. Not sure why he asked you since there is no such question on the application form. Just say no. I had worked while i was on F1, but i didn't have a problem getting my H1b. I am sure USCIS doesn't check your past employment history. Good luck.
