If you want to have an animated avatar, then here's what you have to do. Edit your profile and toward the bottom, you will see a browse file button for Avatar. You will need to upload an animated gif whose height is 35 pixels or less. Then you will be all set. You can use tools like http://picasion.com/ to get your animated image size to fit. Good luck! Also for customized entry message use the field called Shoutbox entry message on the edit profile page so get your own customized message to show when you enter SB :)
