MSNBC suspended "Countdown" host Keith Olbermann Friday after the news that he donated to three Democratic candidates. "I became aware of Keith's political contributions late last night," MSNBC President Phil Griffin said in a statement. "Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay." http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_...

Surprised with this news or surprised by this news?

Why would you be surprised? Keith is a liberal and MSNBC claims to be a news organization. They both did what you would expect them to do. NBC is a private company and they have their own company policies. Keith violated one of those policies, so you can not really blame MSNBC for suspending him. But they are not going to fire him like NPR did with Juan Williams. Fox gives out political contributions all the time. They also attend and publicize many Republican fundraisers, but I am glad at least MSNBC being as liberal as they can be, "acted" as a neutral news agency.
