Hi All I am in an urgent need of help from experienced/ knowledgeable person regarding the waiver of residency requirement of J1 visa. Currently I am on F1 status and I was in the US before on J1 visa, which has two year residency requirement. I need  your suggestion on how can I get rid of the two year residency requirement so that I can work and stay here after my study.  Thanks,

One of my Senior Dai was here and If I am not mistaken he had to go back to Nepal right after graduation. I think he did Phd and post Doc and finally moved to Canada. So my guess is all the Fullbright scholars are required to go.....! Not sure if it gives any idea.

Ask for the waiver from Nepalese Embassy in US. If you get waiver letter from Nepalese Embassy, you are good.
