An undergraduate student at San Jacinto College in Houston, Pukar Chhetri was found dead at his workplace on August 10. He hails from Bafal in Kathmandu. A website (helppukarsfamily.weebly.com) set up by his friends said that the body has been taken by the Houston Police Department for investigation. “All of his family members are in Nepal waiting for his body. We need all of your support to send his body back home.” Quoting an unnamed Nepali living in Houston, NepaliPost.com reported that the police said the surveillance camera showed Chhetri shooting himself at his temple.

But honestly if he wanted to commit suicide he should have thought about not doing in US, you know its hassle, parents have to wait in the airport to get his body which is so sad for entire family just tamasha, and also its like 10000 to get some dead body from US to Nepal. Thank you everybody who sopperted and donated to send Pukar's body back to nepal. According to the funeral home the total cost for this process costs around 12000 dollars. Right now the total amount collected is not enough. His body is still in funeral home.

I have made my donation, but I am wondering if there is a way we can reduce the total cost. So far I see you have only raised 1/10 of what is needed.Sometimes Airlines could give hardship considerations. You might want to contact other organizations that have, in past, sent a body back to Nepal (GBNC comes in mind) to find out the best and most economical way. Others please help, if not for him then for his family.

Even a dollar can make a huge difference. You don't have to donate hundred dollars. I just donated whatever i could, so even if it's dollar also, please don't hesitate to donate. Let's not comment whether he did a good thing or bad by committing suicide, but lets think about his parents who are waiting to see his face even he's not alive.  You never know tomorrow we might be in the same situation too. Here is the story: It is copy paste from another thread so if you already read it, please disregard: I called my friend who is a houston police officer and asked about Pukar. He came to see me and summoned me to his cruiser and opened the homicide file and showed it to me. I was completely shocked. This is what happened early Wednesday morning around 12:30 am at 9200 N loop east (Texaco gas station). Pukar was working night shift at the Texaco. There were two customers inside who were playing the video/game machine. Pukar was friendly and was talking to his customers. Then Pukar went to the restroom and after a while the customers heard a 'bang'. They first didn't pay attention to it, thought it came from outside. Pukar didn't return so one of the customers doubted and went to check to see what's going on? The bathroom door was locked. He then called 911 and police came, opened the bathroom door. There he was lying on the floor. He was pronounced dead on the spot. Police does not know the reason behind neither do we.  Rest in peace Pukar. You will definitely be missed.
