I see every individual have their own perception.According to me it was dream.
edipre · Jul 19, 2010 12:17 AM
I saw it as real and I am sure it was meant to seem as real aswell.
paultheoctopus · Jul 19, 2010 12:40 AM
@paultheoctopus:Can you please justify why u thought real?
edipre · Jul 19, 2010 12:49 AM

paultheoctopus · Jul 19, 2010 1:02 AM

See the continuous spinning. Before Cobb figured it out, he is distracted by his kids. Furthermore, he sees his kids at same position, same dress-up and same age as he used to see in earlier dreams. So this is also a dream.
jhyamma · Jul 19, 2010 10:58 AM
nice take, jhyamma
wtf · Jul 19, 2010 4:51 PM
Cobb was definitely dreaming at that point too. Actually, Cobb gets killed by a shot in the 4th layer of the dream and hence enters what they call "limbo". The thing thats spinning at the end never stops because it was unreal. I believe nothing is crystal clear. Its just the way how you perceive it. You can also prove very well that he was not dreaming at the end when he meets the kids.
dimag kharab · Jul 19, 2010 5:29 PM
jhyamma u r correct.my interpretation is same.
edipre · Jul 19, 2010 9:47 PM
Was it still spinning? Yes But it was about to wobble down. Also, the kids at the end of the movie were not the same kids that he used to see in his dreams.
paultheoctopus · Jul 19, 2010 10:29 PM
Is there going to be a Part 2, what do you guys think?
sab_nepaliko_sathi · Jul 19, 2010 10:53 PM
this is one movie that does not need a sequel...and i don't think there will be one....as the dialogue in christopher nolan's movie "the prestige" goes, "the secret impresses no one; the trick you use for it is everything"
justcurious · Jul 20, 2010 12:54 AM
Yea, the last scene seems also a dream, cause the spinnin "thing" didnt stop. Need to watch one more time, great movie after previous one shutter island.
atomic · Jul 20, 2010 1:18 AM
Well i think that nth was real. I think Totem is a bullshit that Cobb came out with it. I think that Mal is right and that there was next level of dream. But then again, Cobb might be true :) So its upto us to decide the story Here is a link for the explanation of the ending http://screenrant.com/inceptio...

people might not have seen the movie yet. put spoiler alert before talking about a scene or especially ending.
