Tell me something honestly, are you sick of me, the naive Indian girl being infatuated with the big city lights?" Paul "I grew up in New York, for me it is not a big attraction but forget someone from India, even a tourist from another state finds Times Square fascinating, besides I want to see that beautiful smile of yours and for that I would do anything" Pari "I love you....now scoot to the other room so that I can change" Paul "Let me stay pleezeeeeeee" he winks Pari "You know me Darling, I was apprehensive about sharing this apartment with you but I had no choice, slowly our friendship developed and now we are dating. It might be common here for people dating to sleep together but I am very old fashioned, if I were back home my parents would not even let me date, leave alone share a place with a man" Paul "You are not in India anymore, besides it is not a sin to be intimate, we have kissed a couple of times so why not go further, look I respect your wishes and culture but like every other male I have my limits, if you were to say date an Indian guy things would be different but you claim they are creeps, you can't have the best of both worlds" Pari "I know" she starts crying "I appreciate you Paul for your patience and understanding, you have been a great friend and I truly love you but I am just not ready yet" Paul "Hey no worries, I was just kidding!! The truth is take as much time as you want" That night they had a great time, back in her room Pari could not sleep, she really loved Paul but deep inside she knew she was not ready and more importantly Paul was not ready for her yet. Going back to India was not an option for her, other guys would not be as understanding as Paul, she knew she had to do something...
