how long does it take for reinstatement of F1 status ................(the college is at fault here)

It all depends, but it took me around 3-4 months 4 yrs before. Regards.

If it is collage fault, do not worry about it, they act like the liaison officer ( in F1 case) and will fix it. Timing depends upon which part of US you're in, if the center is too busy will take time accordingly. Good luck.
