Hi Sajha.com I applied for PR in canada in the lastweek of Jaunary 2010. Application fee was deduced from my credit card on March 13 2010 but I did not get any information or receipt from CIC, Sydney office canada. Do you guys have any idea or experience how long it takes to send the documents after the fee deduction from CIC, sydney to Buffalo visa office or how to know whether they send the documents Buffalo office or not because they are not responding any emails. I was thinking they send the letter via regular mail but now I learned they send only email. I am wondering if the email went to junk and deleted. I would be very happy if anyone shares any experience related to this. Thank you

I though you were supposed to send it to buffalo directly? wasnt it so? second: the very first thing they do is take the money.. so chill for a while.... my guess is they havent even opened your packet yet.

First we should send to CIC office and CIC office sends after checking the completeness and eligibility. I am not sure if I unknowingly deleted the email or they have not sent yet.

Hey Jawan1999, First off all, let me congratulate you on getting through the preliminary application process. If you see there is a charge on your card, you've been deemed ok to apply for Canadian Immigration. Yes, they don't send the paperwork but write to you via e-mail. Once you see the transaction on your card; Sydney, Canada office will directly send your application to Visa Office you mentioned in your initial application. I suggest start collecting your supporting documents because it will take some time and you've to submit your complete application within 120 days. As for the e-mail, you'll have to call Sydney,Canada office because they give you an application number which will be your future reference number when it comes to your application. You'll need this refernce number all the time to make inquiry about your application. For now I would suggest you to take a breather and wait few days for the e-mail. If you don't get one then call the Sydney,Canada office. Copycat: They have changed the application procedure. You need to send your preliminary application to Sydney, Canada. No they do not take money unless you meet certain requirements, in that case they return your application. But yes, once they have deducted money, it means you passed the preliminary application process and you'd have to get on to second stage that is gathering and sending complete application packet to Visa office mentioned in the initial application. I don't know much but Iam telling you from my experience since Iam in the process of sending complete application package to Buffalo office. Best of luck to Jawan1999.

I sent my documents to central intake office on Dec 23, 2009 and received reply on April 13 via email. So total duration is less than 4 months. I sent them a bank draft so I don't know when they cashed it.
RUKDHELL · Apr 14, 2010 2:05 PM
Hi Jiwan, For me same day my amount was deducted from the bank I received the email from <FSW-Centralized-Intake-Office@cic.gc.ca>.... The subject was " Application for Permanent Residence in Canada". I have heard for some they went to junk mail.. I suggest you to contact them asap. also, visit www.canadavisa.com for suggestion.

Do you have any idea how to contact CIC office canada. Because they are not responding emails. I do not have telephone number and I do not know do they respond over phone. Thank you.
