Hello everyone...I have a small question to ask....I got my tax return in february...I didnt have any information about this american credit thing that time which says that you can get upto 1000 dollars if you are a student....I am tempted by this big amount and I really want to get it...But I am worried about refiling as I think it might be risky as IRS might double check and I might get into problem....I also heard about the amendment which says that you can refile that tax but I dont know what to do and how to do....can you guys plz tell me what to do? whether to refile or not? anybody's opinion wud be appreciated... thanks

IRS -Q10. How is the credit claimed? A. The credit is claimed using Form 8863, attached to Form 1040 or 1040A.
