How much you owe? Small amount no lawyer will interested in, big amount may be. Keep paying in small amount. Actually, debt collector buys the debt as the receivable are not received within the time frame. So, it is your time to be annoyed because it triggers your credit score to negative. syanjali,,, just the advice from the lawyer to make debt collectors annoyed little bit>> and make them think for a bit before i hand out the check>> and the precautions and documents i should take after i am done handing out the check>>LOL>> i had like 400 bucks to pay off..  nepali ko bani bholi bholi bhanda bhandai.. debt collector ko phone ayo.. haha..  i really like to give them hard time with the check in my other hand to pay them off when i meet them>>
