To be more precise, does running in the stairs burns calories fast than walking/running in the street? Thank you... BAHUN

Bahun, the more intense your workout, the better your results. In other words, running at a fast pace would definitely equal walking for a longer period. For best results, try Interval training ( i.e. sprinting fast for 1-2 mins then jogging for the next 4-5 mins ). But again, you're not paying attention to what some of us have said. By running at 4.5 mph/ you will burn about 500-600 calories in 20-30 mins. That's nothing! If you did weight training, you'll be blasting and attacking fat from your neck, chest, thigh, legs and balls! So don't I'm not gonna say "Run bahun run" - instead, do varieties of exercises. To answer your original question, yes, you'll be burning more calories by taking the stairs but again, it depends on the intensity.

Sorry i dunt have mentality to humilate anybody here. but running 4.5mph will burn 270 calories in 60 mins i.e 135 calories in 30 mins.like other people said i would recommend to do cardio and strength training every other day giving muscles ample time to recover. it also depends on what u are targeting for either lean muscle mass or getting muscular. Loosing wt also depends on ur BMI, your age and height. also there is no spot fat removal. so u have to run and let the fat burn naturally. Note the more u exercise ,more oxygen supply.it cuts more fat with the supply of oxygen. the first 10-15 mins u wont be burning fat after that ur body will be in fat burning mode. so dunt quit right after running 10-15 mins. also its better to do cardio early in the morning.  i like all the posts above.it was really helpful.also drink coffee before workout to warm up ur body. do stretching before strength training. ani listen to music like ipod it helps a lot. just 2 cents. sabai kura mathi post bhai sakeka chan.thank u everybody for sharing all ur ideas again. Everything is going fine, i have started running out door these days. I have started working out four days a week. I am running two days a week. I do altenatively, the days that i do not run i go to gym. Like you have said i have started eating lots of vegetable and fruits. Chicken two days a week. One question is, while running my body produces lot of salt kind of white thing is it normal or not? Your opinion in this regard is highly appreciated. Bidroh thanks for reminding me by bringing this thread up.

Ani don't forget about Breakfast part, and also, drinking 8 glasses of water. Good luck. Aru question bhanyo bhane, you can keep asking.

Any significant progress?

@Bahun: F&ck work-out at Gym, i'm doing P90X at home. Convenient and Time-Saver. Also if you work out pretty-good, i think you can eat nepalese food as well. Unless you wanna be a body-builder, you can pretty much eat whatever you're eating but do work out at home like P90X. Thanks Sirus_Me

run for 45 min that will help u alot rest min do work out thing

metalgal · Apr 3, 2011 9:34 PM

My suggestion:   Start P90X program and go to nutrisystem website to find out what kind of foods to eat.  I would recommend your diet to be 50% protein, 20% fat, and 30% carb Eat more fruits and vegetables. Stay away from the foods that have high concentration of sat fat and carb Eat your last meal before at least 3 hours before you go to sleep  Do not use too much grease while cooking your food Eat around 1500- 1800 calories/day (if you work out) Hope this helps Bir By the way I am starting my P90X from tomm (after 1and half years procastination) or atleast I am thinking that I will start from tomm for sure. Good luck to me. Bring it.  Decide Committ succeed

First thing Bahun bhai , drink some water just before u start ur dinner. That way u would already feel half full and can't eat much even if u want to. Second, don't ever eat anything after 8:00 pm except water. Third, walk for atleast 10k steps per day. The logic here is to track ur work out everyday like how many calories did u burn etc. In other words track the profile of your daily workout to motivate itself. Plan to participate 5k, 10k or half marathon in coming days. Just keep in mind that it's the combination of diet and some workouts. U will see results in just few days.
