My answer is a bit in the grey area. It all depends on your INTENTION behind following a certain religion. People can find spiritual liberation though religion or they can kill in the name of religion. It all depends on your intention. However, I dislike the "collective" or "cultural" aspect of religion where people identify their place in society or culture via god/religion. And I dont know if its "necessary" but I think life can be a tad more satisfying if you are in touch with your spiritual side and if religion can bring that out in you, maybe it doesnt hurt to follow one, as long as you dont get caught up collectivism.

I agree with you justifyURexistence. It does not hurt to follow a religion as long as you don't go killing in the name of religion. Following a religion does indeed provide a satisfying living. But is it necessary? Can't a person have a satisfying meaningful life without a religion? What did you vote?

My Answer : YES WTF.. Screw You Guy... 19 Votes for Not Necessary for both living and dying. Guys I think you guys are still surrounded with social dogmas and ignorance. Religion is one of the most important need that makes us human.  Ok let's go in this way. When do you remember GOD ?? Let's make a poll ? [a].When you are with your Girl Friend [b]. When you are done with making out ? [c]. When you got caught by cops ?.... There you go filthy ass holes... Answer is right in front of you. You remember god when you are in trouble. And Ok let's take religion out of your life. You won't have any base when you fall or have a tough time in life. I believe you guys are being a hypocrite by saying we don't need religion. I know different religions and different ideologies are making your world dizzy, can't think properly. But imagine a day without religion, you would go for a killing spree. So better stick with the almighty... After all in every religion the ultimate goal is Nirvana.. (To Go to Heaven, God's Place... whatever different philosophies say). If he doesn't then he sure gonna kick your ass for calling him in this world, especially just for metting ya.. GOD has gotten enough attention already, that moron won't show him/her self if we keep giving him/her attention. isn't that what Hindu and Christians prophecy tells us? second coming of christ and reincarnation of vishnu as kaali?
