i agree wid u kalopani..bro. i m 100% sure that i cannot  do anything with this low gpa..coz im so dumb..and im egoistis too..like u...but startin business in F1 status i think its not posssible...i dun knw abt other states but in nEwyork..its not possible....actually i was thinkin to be out of status make some money and go back to nepal.....but...before bein out of status ..i want to go back to nepal...i knw being out of status is the dumbiest thing...but im not willin to study..so wat can i do............im so much confused..........

Riten,how can you be so confident that its a piece of cake to find a job after finishing PhD. Remember most of the Chinese come to US for their doctoral program, so you have to complete with them

I'm not trying to disrespect anybody. I'm just emphasizing that the problem doesn't end with getting GC or Citizenship. Getting high paying job is the main thing to keep up with your family needs here and back home. Of course, you have to study and work hard for that. If you think, you are not that good academically, try to work hard and open your own business after saving some money and loans from the banks (no doubt lots of banks in US including giants like Bank of America has stopped approving loans for small businesses)..Its easy to write, but hard to accomplish..just my thought.. Urrgg why things has to be so hard............ I am graduating this winter semester ( May 2010) and I have no clue what I am going to do:( I am majoring in bachelors of science in internetworking. I  have very good experience in linux systems admin ( worked for webhosting company) and good experience with cisco as well. Any ideas? suggestions? try to get OPT? shoot for masters ? Peace!

when you accept the problem , then you start looking for alternatives  , when you have alternatives you pick the best one and then your suffering will be over. but if you try to push yourself to get good gpa and you're not made for academic then you're in a wrong field. we all have our own fields where we are crocodile. find yuour ground and prosper

I am not a PHD material by any standard, i did try my best during my undergrad degree and got satisfying results but by no means am i close enough to apply for a PHD program.What are my options at this point? none of the legit companies i applied to wants to sponsor H1b, dont have enough resource to go back to F1, haven't found an American girl to get married to and don't have much idea about filing for Asylum, Indian restaurants won't take care of it.
