Recent revelation of Golf star Tiger Woods' “Silsila” outside of his marriage, and her wife, Elin Nordegren, leaving his house in the US in its aftermath while media and critiques calling their marriage a titanic whose fate is as obvious as the rift in their relationship on the outset, I could not help but ponder upon similar “Silsila” which the bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan brought about many years ago when he happened to find an unusual niche on someone along his lines of fate (Bhagya Rekha) but outside of his then recently tied nuptial knot with Mrs. Bachchan. And yet, Mrs. Bachchan decided to stand by her husband. Like many “patibarata naris ” in our culture (more abundant back then in time), Mrs. Bachchan followed the oath of companionship she took during the “Saat Phera” around the mandap of her marriage with Mr. Lambu. “I will always be supportive and by your side in thick and thin, NO MATTER WHAT!”. Bollywood and the culture in the east is not unknown for extra-marital affairs. A few months ago, one of the bollywood recent sensations, Shiney Ahuja, saw his promising career brought into shambles when allegations were brought upon him having mercilessly raped his own housemaid in a drunken revelry. Now despite strong evidences, all pointing towards the rising star for this pathetic and heinous crime, his one and only "patibrata patni", Mrs. Ahuja, decided to stand by him like the rock of gibraltar maintaining innocence of his rapist husband. Call it morbid curiosity, but I have been following the Ahuja's story on google news for the past few months. After prolonged delay on the hearing of the case amidst myriad reasons and excuses, rumors are now rife that the couple may settle the case in court once and for all as we all know how law and orders can be manipulated in one's favor in our part of the world. These “Silsilas” of celebrities have always been news of great interest and public scrutiny for entertainment purpose and subject of twists and turns by the media for seasonings and condiments on the servings. Along those lines, this jotter believes in taking such news with a grain of salt, however, cannot hide my bewilderment on the fragility of celebrity wives in the west and their ridiculous tenacity in the east. Je hos, Patibrata Nari ko jaya hos! Patibrata Naris, you all rock! :)

what do u think about the promiscious politicians of this country and their wives like Bill Clinton getting jobs done in this own office, John Edwards cheating behind his dying wife, Gov Stanford eloping to Argentina to make out with newly found love of this life/"soulmate and a senator from Nebraska paying hush money to his mistress's hubby to keep shut...i think john edwards put it best when he said he lost it when he started becoming Narssicistic <pardon the spelling> in his power trip and though he could get away with anything......I hate men who cheat and feel proud of doing so!! but i do not feel any better about the women who stick with the cheaters for greater good!! I think no good can come out of sticking with a cheater than loosing your own self respect!!!

When you're making over 80 million dollars / year, the chances of your wife being supportive are higher. Things would've differed if Woods was an average Joe living around the corner, hooking up with bartenders and waitresses.
