"So can anyone tell me how much time do i have left to change into another status or to search another job." Technically u don't have a Single day to change to another Status or to Search for Another Job. However, USCIS may Over Look the case if he/she <20-30 days out of Status.(it Solely Depends upon USCIS and U may not even Get that Time frame). Hope it Helps

H1 without Job is horrible better to change status ...to F1 try to get CPT and try for job....without Job if you are paying tax thats not good...

pyaradeshbariharu is right, there is no time limit defined. the day you were laid off is the last day on ur H1b so you better file for change of status right away.
