Lost passport

I have a travel date arriving in 3 weeks to go back to Nepal. I have applied for a replacement  but I am not getting any high hopes with them sending me a new one before I depart. Is it possible to depart to Nepal without a passport? I do have the citizenship certificate. My only stop over between Chicago and KTM will be in New Delhi Airport.

I would strongly advise you against travelling without passport.

cannot travel in international flights without a valid passport or travel document.

Call embassy and they will sent it express if you pay the fee. You will get in less then a week anywhere in US if you have emergency and willing to pay the fee.
